Washed Up is recruiting all classes for Classic progression! We aim to compete for server firsts with an initial 3 day progression raid schedule at the beginning of each phase with a reduced schedule of 1-2 days a week during farm with optimized split raiding and a 12 day schedule to optimize respec costs for ranking. We are also recruiting content creators to help bolster our community! Our core is more than capable, but if you’re applying for a core spot: our spots are competitive and you will be given multiple chances to outperform our current members.
About Washed Up:
We are a group of North American players that have been playing together for a number of years. We are home to players that have been with us throughout multiple projects, including both retail and private expansions. Guild leadership is headed by players that have extensive experience leading high caliber raiding guilds on both the retail and private scene. We have a stable track record of providing our community with the means to continue fulfilling their WoW goals, and we enjoy playing many versions of the game together. Our community is one that is meant to be dynamic and iterative, fostering an ideal that members feel like they are part of a guild they helped build rather than simply joined. We always strive to create a community where high caliber players feel like they can excel and progress towards their individual goals while also striving to balance competition and community. Our community has participated in servers and expansions where we are Server First and Region First while no-lifing, but have also participated in projects where we have taken it less seriously and played for fun. Classic will be a serious endeavor for us, as we have been preparing for this since “Legacy” servers were first being rumored about 2.5 years ago.
The leadership style involves organized and thorough management with a drive to develop a raiding environment that will accomplish our goals while enjoying our time together. We don’t care if you haven’t played Classic since retail, but we expect you to have a clear understanding of raids, your role and a willingness to learn. We also expect you to have a relatively high game and raid IQ, meaning we expect you to have some basic ability in WoW that you’re able to transfer over regardless of actually knowing specific Classic game knowledge. This game/guild is meant to be fun, but it is not fun to wipe, and if you don’t perform you will be benched until we help you figure it out. Raids will be organized but not fascist.
