The use of “lust” is appropriate and fits fine by definition.
I will not placate my language use for people who willingly misinterpret.

He used it in a common-use phrase that isn’t often taken to mean sex.
You can lust after pizza. It does not mean you want intimate time with pizza.
Unless you do…
EDIT FOR THAD: I mean that as a general “you”, not “you, Thad, specifically”. I do not think you want quiet special time with a pizza.
Zeal still fits better, so why not use that? No, you used that word as bait, I won’t be tricked like that again.
You said they were trying to ‘manipulate emotions’ through the word choice so…
Not really sure what you mean when you think they’re trying to misrepresent you, from my point of view it appears like the other way around lol.
Lust fits better than zeal, imo.
You can use zeal if you want to. I used lust. It fits by definition.
If people misinterpret correct usage, that is their issue.
I was referring to their snark about me, but I think you know that already.
Cool story bro. How does lust fit better than zeal?
What? Alynsa’s joke?
I don’t think they were trying to ‘misrepresent’ you. I think it was just a joke.
Can be hard to tell. And abusers often gaslight by pretending their abuse is “just a joke” or something harmless.
I-
It was obviously a joke.
What?
Lust - feel a strong desire for something.
Xera felt a strong desire for Illidan. She wanted him to fulfill her fantasies and self styled prophecies.
That fits the situation well.
Zeal doesn’t fit as well as Lust, because the word Zeal colors the desire with philosophy. While I speak on the desire itself.
The Zeal you refer to is merely the display of Xera’s Lust for Illidan.
I do not joke about my passion for pizza.
However, I did quickly realize Thad might take my pizza comment personal and added an edit.
Maybe that’s the issue they took with it.
Maybe they do want to be misinterpreted that way.
Honestly can’t blame them, I’d be pretty lusty over some pizza too.
Pizza is the ultimate representation of life.
You see, pizza is a circle, or at least all the best pizzas are. And life itself is a circle.
That circle can have whatever you want on it, or just plain cheese. And if you like it, then it is good.
Like life, pizza can be divided into eight slices.
A work slice.
A slice for your lovelife, whether fulfilled or empty.
A slice for friends
A slice for family.
A slice for your physical self.
A slice for your emotional/mental self.
A slice for your home.
And finally, a slice for your childhood.
Life is a pizza. Pizza is life.
I feel great lust and zeal for pizza.

I knew you knew all along, you just let them trick you onto their side.
And said philosophy was part of Xe’ra’s motive to Lightforge him; more proof the word zeal > the word lust.
I am not honestly sure you can say Xe’ra wanted anything outside of fulfilling what she deemed to be the accurate Path of the Light. The fiddly thing there is she foresaw her attempt to convert Illidan bringing about the end of the Legion, and in fact it did. However, as the Light is only responsible for a part of destiny she only knew a small part of WHY it would happen.
I’d suppose she did not realize the effort would lead to his destroying of her corporeal form—which we would then use as a vital resource—is how he would help ensure the victory of the AotL she was seeking.
And all it took was one single slice of delicious pizza.
I’m sorry… I’ve fallen to their side…
The side of bubbling cheese that oozes with that particular flavor that itches that perfect itch at the back of your mind.
The side of crust that crackles with a warm breeze as you snap it apart; cooked to perfection.
The side of anchovies, mushrooms, olives and pineapple… eh, we’ll leave that one, actually.
I mean, you can’t really blame me.
You do not have to. In the Pizza, we can accept all. In the Pizza, we are one…
