Was Wow your first game?

I wasn’t aware there was one?

Is it still called Colossal Cave Adventure?

Atari and Colecovision back in the day

First MMO was Ultima Online, but played MUDs like Gemstone III too

My first game was “Spider City” for the Atari 800 computer type model (but on a cartridge). From what I recall it was a sidescrolling shooter, almost a forerunner of gradius, only you could also move up and down and there was a maze map at the bottom that you could actually navigate. There were different markings on the map that symbolized asteroid shower, the aforementioned spider eggs that hatched and attacked, and stranded space cadets you could pick up for points.

In all my years I found a thumbnail of the box art (so I know it exists) but it is apparently so rare I could never find a rom of it. I haven’t played it since I was 8 years old when we sold the machine before moving, but that was the first video game I actually owned and played more than twice.

My first memory of a video game was watching my dad play Galaga in like 1982. I was never any good at it but I have it installed on this computer out of pure nostalgia, and I kind of want to get one of those mini cabinets. Love the alien insects!

Sounds like Uukrul.

One of my earliest memories was playing Super Mario Bros on the NES.

I thought for the longest time that I was playing video games since I was 3, but awhile back, my mom corrected me, and told me that I have in fact been playing video games since I was 18 months old.

Probably Monopoly. I particularly liked das Boot. I don’t think computer games existed until 20 years later.

Such a great game, especially the CD version for Patrick Stewart’s voice acting

top games now…
Elite dangerous Odessey in VR
World of tanks
and then wow and wow classic

So they made it 3D, like the Quake II. Interesting, but loses the charm of having to imagine the whole thing yourself

Adventure on Atari.
But also really nintendo Mario/Duck hunt

I first played City of Heroes, then a few people in the group I was with migrated to WoW halfway through launch and I resisted. I resisted until the end of Vanilla. I rolled a human warrior and was still resistant, even in a duo.

Then I made that first jog to Stormwind City. That’s all it took. I did go back and forth between the two games, but once that one shut down it was all WoW. The warrior is still one of my main alts!

Do you still have to use your inventory items to map the maze of “little passages all alike”?

My first pc game was pong. Literally one of the first games on pc. Now I feel old.

The first pc game that got me hooked was Rampage. That game was epic.

My first MMO was Everquest.
