Was the Doomhammer named after Orgrim or did he take the name of the hammer?

I’ve always wondered whether the Orc or the hammer was named first.

The weapon came first. It was originally crafted by a orc named Gelnar during the height of the Gorian Empire on Draenor. Presumably it was used to fight the Ogres and than it was passed down through the generations since, eventually landing in Thralls hands
