Was the Blademasters Stones transmog 'fix' necessary?

For reasons I will not iterate I feel personally attacked here.
Why can’t they just add a secondary option to cover it up if it’s such a concern for people?
I mean it’s not like i’m already wearing a bra in the sweltering durotar heat.
It’s not like I haven’t spent the last year. Collecting each of these stones specifically to coordinate various armorsets to fit the STONES, not the WRAP.

Why? Why couldn’t you just divide this into the two options like you did with the warden armor? Why invalidate my 2200 token purchases because you want to me to cover up after YOU implemented a chestless option on transmogs?

The mag’har orcs are covered

That’s not the problem.

Thank you Blizzard for not exposing the little ones to the degeneracy of Bra’masters.
Meanwhile all female characters with no-pants options all around :eyes:

No, of course it wasn’t necessary. Anyone who wished to have something underneath their blademasters’ stones could invest in the highly advanced technology known as a shirt.

(Yes, the selection of shirts is a little thin on the ground, but that’s neither here nor there.)

Imagine wasting such an opportunity for next year to not include a line of wraps in the shirt slot to compliment the blademaster stones instead of arbitrarily modifying what PEOPLE SPENT OVER A YEAR PATIENTLY COLLECTING.

I guess i’m angry.

Edit: For clarification the blademaster sets and their recolors are something I have been eagerly collecting over the past year since they first got released.
Stones and swords specifically.
Only to find that everything I just purchased was retroactively changed arbitrarily without any player input.

Oh, I’m sure there was player input, specifically, a tiny number of people acting outraged on Twitter. That’s the only kind of input they care about these days.

No. It was not.

Which is what I had on my monk . . .

Please by all means point out these Twitter post. Because I know for a fact that hellsite doesn’t give a rats sass about world of warcraft with less than two thousand engagements a day on the topic.

I am betting this was internally drafted.

They are not even wearing the same transmog.

Seeing as the change has yet to be reverted, I am going to post that I am still very angry.

I’ll be very surprised if it gets reverted. WoW’s rated T for Everyone, after all. Can’t be selling cosmetics that show off bras! I mean heck, take a look at that ragged bandage Xal’atath’s got underneath her otherwise well-designed outfit specifically to hide any potential for cleavage.

The Warden mog got split after an extreme amount of complaints.
There’s no reason why this can’t be reverted since it’s still in the test servers.

Yeah, but this change was almost certainly made for a reason that Blizzard has shown to be completely unwilling to back down on. They probably won’t even comment on it, or if they do it’ll be to reaffirm that there will be no further adjustments to the items.

Which is a shame.
Every time more of my digital playdolls clothes are altered, I am inevitably pushed more and more away from this game.

Blizzard seems to be the only developer left in 2024 that doesn’t seem to understand that fashion is the end game, and that attacking players choices on fashion is just disrupting another part of the games aesthetics that keeps players here.

At least I don’t have to worry about these kind of decisions in XIV.

No need to pull player input from Twitter. Those people who complain about things like that are already working at Blizzard. It’s a full infiltration and only a matter of time before the game is fully corrupted.

Are we playing the same game?

Cause this is the game I’m playing lol

Bowls of fruit did more than enough to confirm that.
