Was the Blackrock Depths (2024) a failure?

If it can be catalyzed, it can be useful.

I’ve done the last wing of LFR BRD a grand total of 2 times. I wouldn’t call it a fail, but yeah I’d rather do my delves.

Gear options are designed around balance. As soon as you find an interesting way to stat stack, they’ll nerf your class. So none of that really matters any more.

I don’t think people understand. It’s supposed to be a nostalgia event, not a progression event.

What really stinks is no Ring of Law. The Brazier for summoning the extra bosses in LStrat and Dire Maul still works. Not having a spot for it in the raid, for those who still have it, was a fumble.

but why? The raid is not the same as the dungeon. Why would they have something to summon a classic era boss that unless you have the item from vanilla in a timewalking raid that was basically built from the ground up. The only similarly between the raid and the dungeon version of BRD is the location and the names of certain bosses and mini bosses.

I do agree with the Ring of Law though. Kinda odd that there isn’t one of Moira’s lore dumps about it. Considering the guy who ran the ring of law was last seen trying to resurrect Ragnaros. Although I think Blizzard has forgotten about that plot point, or are choosing to ignore it. Considering it said Smolderon was MIA and well… he showed up later in Dragonflight alive and well. For about a few seconds anyway :stuck_out_tongue:

The polearm from the penultimate boss is actually very strong for fury warriors at least. Get that boy to 6/6 hero (626 ilvl) and it does strong damage.

Gear is trash for the ilvl required to make it not an absolute nightmare. Some trinkets are decent but if you’re relying on BRD for gearing a character you’re doing it wrong.

Idk it was a good idea right? Loot doesn’t matter to me personally as i was already full 619 by the time the raid came out. Fights are fun to me and i definitely hope they do more mid season raids. Tunning though was definitely a problem.

Those were actually hotfixes and nobody noticed the change. I even joined a group before reading this and Incindius was still a fluster cluck. I’m amused they nerfed the first boss so heavily when this one and the second one actually weren’t too bad if you did the mechanics properly.
