The guy is right about one thing, transactions like these are not managed by blizzard. They don’t care, the risk is on you.
I answered your question.
This is also a player forum where I pay to have access to. I can go and post anywhere I wish. You may request I go elsewhere, but I have the right to decline.
If you want an echo chamber of support you’ve come to the wrong place. Own up to your mistake and I’ll be less hostile. I have a serious issue with people passing off the blame onto others for their own actions.
You messed up and got burnt, it happens. You put in a ticket and hope to get someone that is willing to return what is lost to you and accept whatever the outcome may be gold or no gold. What you don’t do is expect people who have been fighting against these types for nearly 2 decades to take the blame for you.
These scammers wouldn’t be here if people weren’t giving them gold and that’s the hardest fact you need to understand.
You don’t have to like me or what I say, but you need to understand that you’re the arbiter of the interaction that took place and trying to pass off the blame won’t get your gold returned or win you any favorable interactions from others.
Go find another post in which you can display you’re absolute garbage and nonsensical point of views to everyone. You’re job is almost done here, but you still have one more task, that is to find the other 27 characters i posted on.
What parts of my posts do you consider nonsensical exactly?
Do you believe you shouldn’t be held accountable for your own mistakes?
Or is it something else?
Please call the FBI and turn him in, we do not need people like that in game.
Your story has a ton of holes…the biggest in that no scammer would actually brag about their deeds over ingame chat and thus make it super easy for a GM investigating the matter.
Also what in the friggen heck were you trying to boost with 650k? That is an insane amount to pay for anything and you stupidly just gave the entire amount over without first receiving your run? You should have paid a deposit of a quarter to half and then forked over the rest right before the end as even just common sense business practices.
Nevermind the fact that you are paying X amount to buy the game and $15 a month to stay subscribed just to then pay a premium more to do content that won’t matter in 1 patch? That is just absurd. For that amount, I better be able to take a hunter in greens with an entire mail roster save for the tanks (since no mail class can tank) for mythic dom and get literally every drop with a guarantee Sylvanas will drop her bow too for that kind of money…at worst I would find it acceptable to die on any boss but for that money I’d probably even insist they have to keep me alive too.
I honestly wouldn’t recommend it as actions to your account for scamming others could result in not only the lost of that gold, but maybe your account as well. The GM’s may remove the gold, but they may action their accounts for what they did even though they don’t support those types of transactions.
They only care when it means you buy more. You getting scammed means you’ll buy more tokens. Blizzard is probably happy if anything.
I dunno if I’d recommend that type of action. Since they gave the scammer a fake currency, no real world crime was actually committed. If they take that fake currency and sell it for real world profit then they’re stepping into the legal areas where Blizzard can go after them for loss of revenue.
But the op has no real legal avenues to pursue given that no real world crime was committed. Even if they could find out everything about them, where they lived or what they do outside of scams they would have very little in legal recourse assuming the person is in a country that would allow that as a possibility.
That’s a safe bet outside of the floor people that work there. The top brass will absolutely view it like that as it’s just more money.
It’s sarcasm.
Hard to tell online, but it’s a safe post anyways incase someone actually believes that is a viable option.
If someone believes it’s a viable option there isn’t much hope leading them in a proper direction.
Not hard to do. Especially when you trolls make it easy.
That may very well be true. But one can hope right?
This. A simple google search into the service helps. I usually check ratings. I paid for an aotc that was late and I was overcharged 5k. Don’t use Vanlune boosting.
Though at least I got the service.
At least they didn’t lose their gold.
BURN
ZING
dignity was lost the instant the op decided to drop rl money instead of just playing the game.
- Accept that you got scammed and eat the loss because you’re not getting it back.
- Report them.
- Remember not to do it again.
That’s basically all you can do, my friend.
Really!? Cuz I would have thought giving what amounted to $100 of real money to some rando on the internet in an unprotected transaction would have been the dumbest thing. Go figure
