Ahhh, WoD, the expansion that left so much content on the cutting room flaw that we felt like the expansion was a rip off lol
(not to mention the attempted flying removal debacle)
i sometimes rewatch the trailer, theme song is good. Great trailer.

the time travel and the legion’s time travel abilities still does my head in.
The announcement trailer always came off as weak when compared to the ones before it. Probably one of the shortest too if i remember right.
Nothings different, I was pumped after bfa and sl cinematic reveal too.
Like the cinematic? None of the cinematics have been bad in my opinion.

WoD was indeed a more difficult expansion to get Draenor Pathfinder.
The great thing is I have no less than six level 3 garrisons, each with its own Ancient Trading Mechanism, a Tramsmogrifier, Void Storage, and a Guild Bank.
Member when people were hyped by the afterlives trailers? I member.
i was pumped on the cinematic for bfa too, but then the tree burned and i was’nt so hyped (i was SO hopeful it would be a broken-shore type moment but then it was just ‘sylvanas got triggered and did it!’ and it de-motivated me.)

I remember after they released that trailer they parked a cab in Times Square with Hellscream’s axe buried in the roof of it. I saw it on the square back in the day. (I don’t live in NYC, but I’m only about 2 hours out …)

Can you elaborate on this a bit? Was that really a thing?
There was an attempt to remove flying in WoD, players protested so devs conceded and made pathfinder a thing.

WoW players love WoW and generally get excited about anything new they give us to play with.

They lied about what was happening with flying because they knew it would hurt sales, they pretended like they were going to give it back in the first content patch, then the 2nd, then on a long weekend they quietly let it out in an obscure interview that they planned to not give it back at all.
Personally i felt like i had been deceived, if they wanted a flightless expansion and game going forward, they should have said so and let us make an informed decision about whether or not we purchased WoD at all. Personally it was the final straw for me, i cancelled my sub and didn’t come back until Pathfinder, even then ive been using my vast stores of gold to cover my game time, expansions, mounts and pets 99% of the time since then.
