Was Pre Order Early access worth it?

Honestly, after leveling and enjoying the new zones. I finished the main quest story, Well what is allowed…Honestly, It wasn’t. The pointof early access is to let us get the game early, progress and they slapped a $90 price tag on it. They least they could have done was let us play the earthen, but even they are locked behind the main quest that we cant finish till the raid opens. Is Early Access should have been titled “Limited Early Access” Because thats what it is.Y ou can level, do delvs and instances but no real progression and unlocking. Next time, I will save my $90 and just buy the normal one, The bells and whistles of the x pack (Xmog armor, hearth Stone and toys) are always available to buy later.

More like they slapped early access onto the epic edition, which was the same price in DF, without early access.

The extra goodies I got by paying $90 was worth the money, early access didn’t factor in to my purchase choice. I will say though that hitting level 80 yesterday was nice.

Honestly, I could deal with most of it. But the new allied race locked behind the main quyest that you wont be able to finish till the raid opens…very much bad faith and not “Evergreen” Like they promised.

The only appeal of early access was to get to poke at something new slightly earlier as a cure for boredom. It accomplished that. It’s not like I expected to be able to grind out a notable advantage because of it.

Most people didn’t buy the epic edition for the early access it like most other stuff was just an added bonus to buying it, in my own case I bought it for the mount and the battle pet that because battle pets, everything else was just added bonuses for me including early access.

It semi factored in to mine. My dad died recently and he use to get me the $90 Edition, it was my b day and X mas gift every year. He passed in January so I got it in memory of him. the EA was awsome, and I get some of the gating, But why gate the allied race like that? it has zero to do with end game, PVP and gear. It should have been accessable by the end of “Early Access” using that term loosly.

Sometimes I spend $90 bucks on lunch. But those Wagyu burgers…

I got to level 80 without having to fight everyone and their brothers for mobs so that was my significant advantage.

What?

I’ve so far enjoyed my time in TWW.

It has been the smoothest release I’ve ever been a part of.

I have 2 toons at 80, one at 79, and I’ve hardly noticed the restrictions.

Maybe it’s because I play with Warmode on and it’s naturally less populated in the PvP world, but I never ever have had issues with spawns and stuff.

Last time I did was WoD, when Warmode wasn’t a thing yet.

To spare the feelings of the people who didn’t get EA, so they don’t log in on Tuesday and see a bunch of people playing a race they can’t have yet.

You’ll be able to get it in two days, it’s not a big deal my guy.

I usually wait a week after an expansion launch so that the press of players has lessened to make leveling easier. Getting to start a couple days early was almost like waiting my week.

I bought epic for the epic and not the early access.
The early access was just a fun bonus.

Although I will say that the dead end imposed by early access restrictions does take away from the experience.

I dont think it will be 2 days, I think they gated it behind the Raid opening. Cause the main quest till tie in to completing it. So its not 2 days, more like 2 moths with their BS LFR Opening Schedule.

I’ve always been around every expansion launch, but the fact the 20th year anniversary of WoW they decide to segregate players based on who’s paid $40, it just makes me sour.

I always buy the minimum product, the game itself, never fond of collector’s editions and useless plastic toys.

It feels like, “Oh, you’re not a real WoW fan unless you buy this”, nevermind playing the actual game for 20 years lol

Lol the cost of epic for War Within and the cost of epic for Dragonflight was the same, we just got more bonuses this time including early access.

Who actually paid for the epic edition for 3-days early access?

I got it because I wanted the mount and upgrading for a pet and a month subscription was a good deal. Why would you upgrade solely for only 3 days of gameplay :sob:

I might sound biased because I didn’t have to pay for the expansion and my sub is free but I still would have bought it regardless if it had early access or not because it comes with a month of gametime that I would have paid for anyways and the extra cosmetics + tender.

Didn’t buy epic for the free access so the hour or so I played of it was just a bonus.
