30% base damage nerf plus 60% spell power scaling nerf with damage offset to starfire which doesnt benefit from eclipse 30% crit is a joke. After playing Balance in classic It was a nice surprise to see the spec finally doing something and it lasted all of one week into phase 2 before the devs deleted the historically worst spec in classic off the map I mean in phase one we were already some of the worst dps with busted starsurge.
All that time I spent farming spell power gear wasted and i’m sure like many this is a signal from the dev team they have no clue what they are doing and forget people play these classes. I’m just going to stop with season of discovery maybe play around in retail again but holy crap good luck having fun in this game when they can shoot your spec or class at anytime.
It’s sad that players that found their spec fun and engaging also found it fun to corpsedance on another class loved by other players.
Not directing that at OP or anyone specific but the vitriol in calling for/celebrating nerfs to other classes has been sad. Full disclosure: just got my druid to 40 today before the nerf and not surprised at the action taken. Also have a hunter at 25 that I’d not yet planned to level. Then there’s my priest main that will no doubt be the next whack-a-mole target.
I really hope Blizz is testing and not just going with the loudest voices.
Unfortunately, there is no safe harbor. The forum mob targets every class they get jealous of and Blizzard placates them by nerfing the class into the ground. Then the mob celebrates because the targeted class has been destroyed.
Did hunters p1 experience not clue you in that blizzard doesnt do anything but guttings?
Heck the last p1 nerf to hubters was the bm rune nerf, and they were trying to just shift power out of the pet and into the hunter… was still a 12% nerf to hunters best performing option.
Eh you guys flaming over boomy’s should really pause for a second and take notice of how boomkin has been the worst classic spec for decades
Starsurge should have absolutely been nerfed btw, even boomy players are saying so. But this absolutely gutted them back to era mode as far as PvE goes.
