Was Dragonflight a win for you?

Now that the next expansion is probably going to be announced at BlizzCon, I have to ask: Was Dragonflight and Dracthyr a win?

What were the good points for you?

What were the bad points for you?

I think this kind of feedback is good for discussing possible future expansions and it’s probably good for the devs to see as well.

It’s alright. Didn’t quit my sub, but I’m ready to leave for another adventure, now.

it was a win for me - i always like new content, and i didn’t have to do the same stuff over and over like previous xpacs. And I made new friends who are doing the same stuff i’m doing and not being forced to do groups to make that happen

No. It was way too safe, generic, unexciting and flat out boring. Dragonflight feels like eating dry bread.

I really liked being able to fly at the beginning of the game - that felt wonderfully nostalgic. I’m still waiting for some epic story line that I’ve come to expect these last ~3 expansions, but all in all, I am content with this expansion.

Nope…Yu-Gi-Oh Dragons are not my thing

They should have taken a cue from Dragonkin in D&D

The Voice acting was just…so…cringe

Was good, but Dracthyr? No. Clunky, wonky models and several mog limitations.

Was a very “bland” win. Nothing special really, but not bad. Then became a lose.

Good points: Nice initial patch, the story initially seemed interesting, some well-crafted side quests, dragon riding was cool at first.

Bad points: Everything mentioned above became very repetitive very quickly, and the story became extremely uninteresting. All additional content is just the old content with a new aesthetic."

Overall, just a bland and generic xpack.

Also no, a race that didn’t exist in the lore, created out of nowhere without anyone asking for it. Just to be whiny about feelings and the power of friendship.

Unfortunately nope, DF is heading towards being the next new WoD 2.0, good content, wasted moment to shorten the expansion due to Blizzard’s lack of interest.

not for the expansion, but for the future of WoW, Dragonriding would be excellent for a system of other mounts such as ground mounts in a non-air race.

The new Talents is going there, but it is good to return something to the old days of old school talents.

Good villains, Ikiridron was an excellent villain, but like Gul’dan in WoD and Sire Denathrius in Shadowlands he will only be a villain for more than half of the next expansion and as a main villain he should be, wasting what would be a good time from the expansion where it came from.

a bait and smoky expansion that didn’t give the overall Azeroth experience we need, it happened to MoP with something new beautiful, but nothing interesting, it happened to BfA with a real Azeroth war but in the end it only focused on 2 new continents, and DF with a fresh experience but that has nothing to do with the war environment that the name indicates as a WARcraft and a different world far from what Azeroth has been known since 2004.

Along with a gameplay that didn’t last long and faded little by little like the smoke of the hype that was in 10.0

Let’s hope so, it will only say what happens at Blizzcon tomorrow.

There is old wow Vanilla, BC and Wrath and it like a Trilogy of perfection.

Then something went wrong with the world…

it was just ok for me.

I unironically played SL more. DF’s writing was somehow even worse and the voice acting didn’t help.

10.0 was lots of fun.
10.0.5 was insignificant
10.0.7 was cool that it added a new zone. But over all not that exciting.

10.1 is the worst patch i have ever played in this game. Awful content.
10.1.5 was actually really good and made the game fun again.
10.1.7 is lame. Its a once a week thing and it invalidates all other world content.

Really its down to 10.2 to save this expansion for me.
If its not a good patch, i rank this expansion as the worst ive played. (I joined in wod)

It was not. It took some leaked screenshots for me to even consider getting the expansion, instead of waiting til it was free like Shadowlands. Those screenshots were of the forest areas of Azure Span and Ohn’ahran Plains.

The story was utterly flat. The exploration will be possibly very good with regular flying, but the stories of the zones was mediocre. The zones themselves have been beautiful, especially Ohn’ahran Plains and the non-snowy parts of Azure Span. Waking Shores has too much verticality for my tastes, though that’ll improve with regular flying.

Enemy types. Animals, Primalists(elemental cultists), and proto-drakes. Blech. Boring. Gnolls were a decent enemy though.

Was it worth it? Just barely. Kinda not sure about that.

Leaps and bounds ahead of Shadowlands, but middle of the road overall compared to the rest of the expansions.

See I like this it’s not objective it’s subjective.

No.

It was a mixed bag but overall the professions and repetition lost me. I did like that there was less mandated objectives. But what we did have was still highly repetitive. Even for what the game is

In short I found it boring me much faster than anything else recently

Good points of DF for me?

  • Some of the zone design, open, vast, lush areas.
  • Music is always kind of on point with Blizz

Bad points of DF for me?

  • Profession system
  • Open World
  • Gold Making in general via AH/Crafting
  • Talent trees (I really would love hybrid to make a comeback - - and yes I know cookie cutter builds etc would exist anyway)
  • Questing (for whatever reason, it just had me grit my teeth to get through it , not to mention on alts… past expansions it felt easier for me… now I can’t be asked)
  • Everything about dragonflight feels boring, basic and safe.

i came back and gave them another chance the crafting system looked good and that’s what sold me but with all the bad changes soon after it became totally irrelevant just like before and scammers just try to cheet you on crafting orders and they taken over the board and the game died for me

i feel they are lazy and just can’t keep consistent and just push content out as fast as possible thats just not fun and the story with this one i just don’t even care
