I’m not necessarily against fast leveling at all but holy wow, this xpac’s leveling is unprecedented in how quick it is.
Questing is basically not even an option now with how much quicker dungeons are.

You could always, y’know, not see everything through efficiency and just quest like normal people…

Took me 16 hours to get my first to 80. I took my time I guess heh

I took the scenic (questing) route, completing everything as I go including side stories, dungeons and delves quests.
Hit max just as I was finishing Hallowfall. From that perspective, it feels just right imo.
Well I don’t think I’m out of line thinking that there’s quite a few other players who tend to go to the more efficient route to 80 rather then the scenic questing route when after they get their first toon to 80.
The story didn’t take all that long to complete IMO.
And those people are boring. Don’t be those people.
I did the same, but I hit 80 barely into Hallowfall. So I was 80 for the last 2 zones basically.

In war mode capped at the end of hallowfall in about 5 hours with no optimized routing. It was good time for sure. Way less buggy than df, less annoying than shadowlands, and none of the idiot azerite armor and legion rng legendary bs.
I thought the leveling pace and warband experience bonus were great. They were a pleasant surprise.
DF leveling to 70 was pretty quick and SL leveling to 60 was pretty quick. I suspect this is the Ion influence to allow people to get to full level, full gear early so they can do end game dungeons and raids sooner.
Beyond that they seem to be using renown for further leveling.

I leveled my first character through questing and got all of loremaster done except the stuff we don’t have access to. That took the first day or so.
I did world events and dungeon queues for the next two characters up to 80. Having the bonus xp for leveling up each character makes it nice and quick too.
Time to become a professional Delver.

Speaking from someone outside looking in… some say its pretty fast. Depends how you go about it. I imagine they are trying to find a sweet spot and taking general feed back into account so ‘newer’ players aren’t put off… and veterans can do their content etc at a better pace.
i think it’s perfect. i got my first 80 just questing and have been dungeon spamming with friends on a couple other characters. one is at 80, one at 77. i like playing alts so it’s great to not have to spend countless hours getting a couple ready for m+
I’m guessing it is so people can hit 80 and get ready for Raids and M+ in 2 weeks
