Every single Warsong Gulch i enter, its against a premade. How do you expect this to be fun? Why not make premades play vs other premades to make it fair and so they arent getting completely free effortless honor? This honestly ruins warsong gulch, i remember in Vanilla there were premades, sure. But not every single battleground you entered was against a premade, you didnt have the tryhards you have today grinding at BGs with premade group to the extent of now in 2019. This is really aggravating because i cant win a single warsong gulch match going in the BG solo.
Would a premade vs premade concept not make more sense?
They only play pugs when there are no premades left to group them with… The problem is that there is not enough horde running premades because they are all honor grinding in av.
Unfortunately with this phase… the quickest way to get rank 14… is to pve… gg
This is not true in Classic. Premades have no matchmaking priority; it’s random whether you get a pug or a premade.
The rest is correct, however; it’s all Alliance premades and zero Horde premades because all the pugs on both sides, and Horde premades, are honor grinding in AV.
Same sentiment from the other side. The problem is that the players are fundamentally different than from 2005. Everything is meta’d to death and organized for it.
this, we’re in the social media era of gaming where people have communities they play with. can’t stop it, unless blizz change how the game works which they are reluctant and avoid trying to do. better get used to it unfortunately.
Dude if the community is so good then Blizz shouldn’t be giving us the nerfed version of AV, the nerfed version of MC, nerfed onyxia etc… People have been clamoring for challenge and instead of providing that Blizz provides the dumbed-down version of every endgame entity.
The battleground only makes sense for premades. I’ll tell you why.
In Vanilla the lack of xrealms (So one server) created a situation where both sides waited a length of time for AV to pop, especially since the average game time (even after 1.8-1.11) was 12-20 minutes.
In Vanilla, what battleground did pop often on a single server? WSG. It was objectively the best battleground of the 3 (WSG/AB/AV) in terms of fun and you were able to queue 2 battlegrounds at the same time. So you queue AV and WSG and wait…and WSG would pop first.
In Classic, x-realms (that released during 1.12) created a pool so large that one side could jump into AVs instantly due to the massive player pool queuing into, finishing and leaving AV. Average games dropped to 8-16 minutes on average which further improved the queue. Instead of being out for just a month before prepatch, we get them immediately in Classic. If AV had a long queue to get in, it no longer becomes efficient honor per hour and that was the REAL reason why it wasn’t spammed so much back then.
After about 2 weeks (maybe a bit earlier) when all the PvEers finish their rep rewards, there will be less than a 1/3rd of the alliance queuing as there are on week 1. This will create insane queues for horde and they’ll go WSG. When AB is released most horde will just duo queue WSG/AB (Horde usually win AB pugs but lose WSG pugs).
Both sides will also realize that WSG rep is a thing and should probably get started on that grind. And the only way to get rep is cap flags, turn in marks and win. When BG holidays are here they are a godsend for honor per hour and rep here.
No. The queues are long enough already and you’d just have groups of 5 or 9 or however many is needed to avoid other premades and play against pugs, it would be disgustingly more imbalanced.
there’s no one answer to any of the problems right now. some people say #nochanges, some people say change this and that…what is blizzard to do but do what they think is best and fits their vision?
It is a problem, and in the coming weeks it’s only going to get worse. The problem is it’s entirely authentic to the Vanilla experience other than the mindset of the players, so there’s not grounds to change it.
The best thing I could say is that it’s going to go the way of P2, where people just mass exodus out of doing WSG in it’s entirety. So, you can count (2) forms of PvP that have been incinerated by the zeitgeist of players we have today. AB won’t be any different. Get comfortable in your AV rushes, cause that’s the only way you’re going to get honor without friction for the rest of this game.
Sorry but you couldn’t possibly be more misinformed. Yes, I play quite a bit of alliance wsg premades (well over 100 games.) And yes, well over 50% of these games are against at least 7 horde from the same server, and often the full 10.
I’ve played games against premade/tryhard prostreamers. One game had Snutzy, Sodapoppin, fyz, etc-- all in the same game.
Even tonight, I tried solo queue as alliance (cause i wondered if we got premades because we were also premade.) NOPE. Four games in a row against full 10m horde premades.
If blizzard gave us a challenge then a different group of players would be in the forums complaining that It’s all too hard; kinda like the OP who doesn’t join a premade.
2bh idk why people play Classic and not expect harder content. It might not be what it once was but it’s not easymode retail. Don’t like premades? Grab a couple friends/guildies and pick em apart to dissolve their gro dynamic. Interrupt their flow.
The problem is entirely player made. Pvpers were attracted to horde for a number of reasons including racials. This created a huge pvp pop imbalance which heavily leaned horde.
Now you have 5000 horde players queuing for bgs but only 3000 alliance players queuing. The result is significantly long queues times for horde.
This was not a surprise as this is how it was in original. It’s why I rolled Alliance in the first place.
There is nothing better than stomping horde in an alliance premade with everyone working together and communicating on discord while at the same time getting queues instantly.
With that said, your pvp population had a huge advantage during the world pvp phase. They enjoyed camping alliance boats and cities… now it’s alliance turn
Top kek.
Nothing better than getting rewarded with tear threads on top of instant queues just to dunk on you guys. Ill be exalted with Silverwing Sentinels in no time and will only have AB left to knock out once it gets released.
I hope you enjoyed your little wpvp time because the Alliance BG stomping isn’t stopping any time soon.
