Seems like a ok fix to an exploit, I would have preferred the portals remain active, and simply ask you if you want to leave but whatever, seems silly that anyone would get upset about not being able to force players out of a battleground…like I’m sorry but you can’t honestly think blizzard would let you kick the enemy team from matches.
Also shame on anyone demanding map changes to Alterac, you don’t lose because of the terrain, you lose because huge chunks of your team aren’t trying to win or work together.

It does me anyways, i leave BG and im standing back where i queued from.
Well, i want map changes in AV, that do entail the Horde cave moving, but not cause of Horde winning or anything.
I want it because it comes with Landmines, and NPC’s and Ram/Worg charges and tower/bunker buffed Bosses etc.
I see, so you want a larger battle. More blood, violence and Carnage, just as it was first conceived, I’m ok with that, I liked the long drawn out battles with elites charging in alongside us.
I just can’t approve of people demanding changes because of their own teams failings, that’s all.

Most of the pugs i get would lose if the horde cave was moved to undercity and you had to RP walk the entire way to alterac.
(too many just not actually playing, and the rest just playing their own solo game where everyone else is just an optional NPC)
But at least i would have more fun.

Indeed, it’s a real shame, the same thing happened during the anniversary event when they remade Old AV for retail, tons of people, mostly on alliance for whatever reason(still has a lot of horde do this too) spent the whole match roping Rams or goofing off in the mines, allowing the enemy team to steamroll the few who tried to win.
It’s the same thing here, they have too many bots and rep farmers to actually get in there and win.
you guys wanna take a stab at fixing AV yet?
whats the alliance /horde win ratio >?
No, you don’t get to just ASSIGN situations where what he said applies and where it doesn’t.
He specifically used MC being used to grief people as an example of things people will need to deal with. I have PERSONALLY MC’d hundreds of Alliance out of Arathi Basin in Vanilla wow. It wasn’t changed until TBC.
Every clip I’ve seen is with someone using the Engineering Mind Control Cap. Since you just walk them over to the portal instead of standing still in a cast. I did find it funny when it happened to the streamers in the clips thou. Good change in my opinion.
Everyone finds it funny when something awful happens to a streamer.
Usually because they are severely annoying in game.
Sorry that word triggers you so much. I’ve gotten used to it by now to the point it doesn’t bother me anymore. Things change, gamer’s change, times change. Either roll with it or get left behind caught up in nostalgia. In Vanilla my guild broke up on Vael and became a ZG guild. Last night my Classic guild cleared BWL in 4 hours and it was great.

The only people who use this in a discussion are those who don’t get why Classic is (was) great. It has/had nothing to do with nostalgia.
Oh yeah, Classic was great because premades could mind control people out of WSG.

LOL, more catering to the lowest common denominator. MCing to the portal has always been a viable and creative use of mechanics, it has counterplay available, but nope! No longer! “Unfair,” indeed! Just goes to show that if enough people whine enough times, Blizz will reject years of precedent to maintain the subscriptions. All they care about, mob rule, mob vetoes, mob mentality.
Pathetic.

Should not only bring back the portals, but put a 72-hour ban in for anybody who uses them intentionally, or accidentally.
That’ll get the competitive spirit juices flowing.
Be my luck, i would accidentally back through one.
1st time ever in WSG i saw the portal, and was like hey, where does this go.
Yea, i found out, and got to sit in time out for 15 minutes
I think the point of removing it to begin with was that priests were mind-controlling people through it.
Tough luck, boyz!
My post was actually a stab at retail where they removed mind control from all but shadow priests (i think).
Yes, i know this.
I was talking about the 72 hour part for accidentally using it yourself.
It isnt like you can accidentally MC someone out of it.
