You can say that, but the fact remains people were playing druids anyway with their flowerweaving in mind. They’ve had a major increase in dps and a more simplified rotation.
Now druids have two dps specs above both warrior dps specs as a result of rebalancing.
I highly doubt people who were flower and bear weaving will see 10%, that’ll come from the people who do neither. Bear weaving people will likely not even see an increase.
Wouldn’t say no to that for sure. But if they did that fury wouldn’t be fine. Fury would be way overpwered if they did that.
Lifting that 10% damage reduction completely is a straight 13% damage increase to base damage, before Crit multipliers and any other DPS increasing debuff. Would put warriors Pprobably being near top ATM and and an unstoppable tier 1 DPS with a solid advance in ICC. That’s not the fix
So they buff Fury and then a different spec is the “worst dps” and then that spec gets buffed and then another spec is the “worst dps” and then then that spec gets buffed and then another spec is the “worst dps” and…
yeah this is kinda why I was against class balance changes in Classic
Theres no problem with most classes being within 10% of each other and letting skill and gear take the wheel from there.
The issue is that dogwater players who barely have a monitor play on a warlock are doing 10k DPS while best players in the world on warriors are doing 7k.
If you dont see an issue with that then idk what to tell ya.
I mean, Ret had multitudes of nerfs over the course of wrath as well, think it’s just too much work for them to be in 3.3.5 but roll back a bunch of nerfs that were put in because ICC gear was broken.
In a perfect world balance would adjust to the tier we’re in.
Aren’t warriors usually one of the most powerful classes at the end of every expansion, because of their insane scaling? Where they dominate in every spec? Meanwhile feral has had to use every single trick in the book including running gnomeraggan for hours to even be looked at?
I think the joke is the people without patience. I do hope that they end up buffing warriors early then quickly over nerfing them when their scaling kicks in with new tier set bonuses putting them middle of the pack in ICC instead of top dog. I see tons of people with the mindset of buff now nerf later. I would love to see it blow up in their face.
People will continue to play warrior regardless if they ever get buffed. Where else do you have to be? Retail? Thread over.
Big misconception that Warrior will be #1 single target even with smourne imo, would prob only be top 6. I think they will def excel on cleave fights and won’t be touched. If there was a way to only buff single target a bit, without the whole class being balanced by a legendary item that few will get - would be nice but not needed. We should be fine at that point
I wonder if there is old footage of top guilds clearing ICC still kicking around with Recount showing. Though I mean even back then other dps classes could have been playing poorly or something. How accurate were old raid videos for tbc compared to tbc classic? Genuinely curious if you happen to know. Might be a decent indicator and I am sure there is some footage kicking around.
Good for feral. I always liked having a feral in raid but no one wanted to actually play one due to the state of the class, so hopefully we see more feral players after this.
I can’t say anything about warrior that hasn’t already been said. Fury stories about scaling are apocryphal at best, we were nerfed in ICC to be even with other top DPS because we were trouncing - and not everyone is going to get SMourne, either. It kind of sucks to go 3 phases of my entire class having low representation just so people can reroll in late ToC or early ICC to catch up. We don’t need massive buffs but bugfixes would be nice, and the nerfs like fiery hurt (which I suspect nerfs SMourne proc). Another good idea I heard was glyph ideas, like Ret got. “Shattering Throw” sounded the best so far (remove PvP utility but make it instant and/or usable in any stance), but really, warrior gives a health buff but no other utility another class doesn’t give but better, and it definitely doesn’t bring the damage. At this point a warrior is around so that you don’t d/e too much gear. The only reason I hear to play warrior is that we will do “good” damage in ICC, and…that’s it. I was no changes but since that is waaaaaay over you may as well give warrior some utility or relevance before the game is already over.
Maybe I’ll give feral Druid a try. I’ve always loved the class fantasy and being a shapeshifter, but all the hoops they’ve had to jump through in classic to make it work was a major turn off.
