Warriors and glaives

Isn’t it weird how the Warrior class was described as a weapon master and tactician? Even staves, daggers or fist weapons, the Warrior could wield them and use them.

Now, Demon Hunters ruined a thing since the dawn of WoW and have a special weapon type that’s solely catered to them.

How the hell is it possible that Warriors do not know how to handle warglaives but are able use every other weapon possible to wield in the game.

The time of Legion is long over. DHs aren’t so new and fresh anymore.

And for gods sake, let every class able to dual wield the blades of Azzinoth also be able to transmog them.

Can’t use wands
But agreed. More classes in general should be able to use warglaives.
Class unique weapons are just silly imo, and I don’t count bows/guns/xbow in that category as they were never designed solely for one class, but became that way due to design shift.

Because DH offered very little uniqueness from the start, and I really think Activision reached for things to give them. They had so little mechanics that they gave DHs a mana burn, a mechanic that THEY REMOVED FROM THE GAME/EVERY OTHER CLASS. Like they really felt that DHs would be a good class to add to WoW, but had so little mechanics that they had to go to the mechanic-grave and dig up dead spells just so their toolkit wasn’t completely empty.

DHs/monks should have never been added to the game.

Never gave it any thought, never had a need for Glaives just as I never had a need for Daggers, couldn’t care less if it’s in my list of accessible weapons or not

I have yet to find a warglaive in this game that doesn’t look dumb as hell. I get that they’re fantasy weapons, but they’re so damned impractical that I can’t really like them.

It’s different in Classic.

I just want to be able to look like a night elf warden as a warrior, outfit/glaives and all. I don’t think I’m asking for too much Blizzard.

Don’t the Wardens use circular glaives, though?

Yeah and we should have them, along with the outfit. I will die on this hill.

Picnics are like… a million times better than death. Just sayin’. You should picnic on that hill until they give you the ginormous chakrams you want.

Warriors are about brute strength and force, not finess and agility.

If any class should get access to glaives its rogues, thought I will admit I like being a snowflake with my demon hunter only weapon.

If I can brute strength beat you to death with a staff I wanna brute strength beat you to death with glaves!

Socks to suck man, glaives are to complex for you :stuck_out_tongue:

“Me no understand. Pointy end go in Orc, but this have two pointy ends.”

I agree with the OP 100%. Warriors should be able to use ALL weapons (except wands) to fulfill the weapon master class fantasy. No restrictions. The only exception should be wands.

Moonglaives (e.g. the Sentinel’s Moonglaive that dropped of Nathanos in the SL pre-patch) are NOT demon hunter weapons. They are night elf sentinel weapons. Classes that are capable of being able to be sentinels need to be able to use them. I’d even go so far as to make every night elf that starts as a sentinel class start with a moonglaive as one of their wepons because they are iconic for the Sentinels.

I have a feeling I’ll be dying because it will never happen. We can’t have cool things.

Battle axe has two pointy sides! I stick it in Orc! If has no pointy side you bludgeon them with it! Warrior can use crossbow by smashing elf head with it!

I’ll let you in on a secret friend: Warriors try to become masters only of useful weapons. Warglaives are impractical to a degree it kinda renders them uncool, at least in my opinion. They’re not even niche, most of them are shaped in such a way they are actually more of a threat to you than your opponent.

Also Warriors can actually wield the Warglaives of Azzinoth if you get them off Illidan, you just can’t transmog them. I’d say that EASILY proves they can, but don’t want to because the weapon type is bad.

ooh ooh not to mention nearly every single night elf in the freaking night elven army uses a freaking glaive… come on blizz. Also, would extend this to hunters as well.

First they need to be able to dual weild as survival. Something they should have had from the start.
