I watched the short clips where devs talked about how they made deathknights for Wrath.
They mentioned how initially warriors were going to have a spear with a chain you throw at the enemy and pull them to you. It was scrapped and death grip was invented for Dks.
I wonder if they will ever consider bringing that back. Of course it would have to be a choice node with charge imo, but it would be cool to have another class besides dk have a grip. It is so good when needed.

at this point they need to give us bloodlust so we can get invited to groups easier.
i do like spear of bastion though… sucking people back in is pretty cool

I’ve been wanting something like a chain whip ability for YEARS. It would be really damn fun to use, and provide some additional utility too. I would give a LOT for an ability like that tbh
I’d love one too. If they added one, different from a choice node with charge. I’d want it something like this:
Odyn’s Spear (choice node with spear of bastion) 45 sec cd. Throw your spear an at enemy causing X amount of damage and an additonal X amount as a bleed over 8 seconds and generating rage. Use the ability again to rip the spear from your enemy causing them to be pulled to you.

Death Grip has to stop being the domain of Death Knights alone. It’s too good… and Warriors fall down a little bit when it comes to utility.

It would make sense thematically imo as well. A battlecry for war.
Another thought I had for spear of bastion, since one capstone is completely ahead of the other. What if 1 capstone for it changed it into a pull instead? Similar to the idea I mentioned above with the crit damage tied to the bleed duration? One (base spear) is for aoe while other is for ST but has the utlity of a pull.

All I’m sayin is when Garrosh did it to Taran Zhu and pulled him back into his axe in the 5.4 cinematic it was filthy and I wanted an ability like that ever since.

Heroic leap has a choice node to increase the cd and make it do the succ to up to 4 nearby foes

Going to be interesting in the arena, having another interupt option.
I hate the homogenization of class gameplay. It’s lazy design to address inbalances.
They need to give us something like bloodlust to give us some niche. The other tanks can self heal, rez, battle rez, and reposition mobs which we can not do. They also have much better defensive cooldowns and damage.
They need to evaluate the balance triangle of survivability vs damage vs utility and take a hard look at warriors. Compared to other tanks, we’re lowest on survivability, damage and utility…
