Warrior - Whirlwind Weapon

Get the axe. Like stated above you get 5% Crit from axe spec in arms and then another 5% from Cruelty in the Fury tree. It also has a high top end damage so you can get some really big hits from it.

The biding took me 2 hours to farm with high lvl guildie helping me. The troll tusks took a long time as well. If you can afford the bindings then its up to you if you want to save your time and just buy them.

I went Warhammer. The axe and sword are both goofy looking. The hammer is black and nasty. Since this is just a temporary weapon used to level to the next upgrade, who cares if one is a tiny bet better than the other, go with the coolest looking.

I got my Whirlwind Axe guys…what a world of difference.

I charge, hamstring, rend, zerk stance and smash sunder and the mobs usually dead lol.

axe is still better
weapon skill is really only super important at 60 when you are fighting 62 bosses to help with glancing blows

Should I be using slam?, all I use usually is rend, hamstring and sunder Armor.

dont even buy slam until you get a super high damage end game 2hander that is slower than the slam cast time and want to do a 2h fury build

Oppps to late lol

you are doing it right…until you get whirlwind

slam is for like if you get hammer or ragnaros or something lol

So still just rend, hamstring and sunder?.

Can’t wait for MS

Hi AllblackZ gz on 30!

Not sure if this is a popular opinion, but I don’t think rend (even improved) should be used at all post lvl 30. the dmg isn’t worth it compared to sunders or HS.

Rend is kind of meh… but it is so cheap i use it still. Once you get Whirlwind and MS I wouldn’t even bother with sunder unless you are tanking in a group

A few points of hitting power is not better than 5 skill, vs any enemy. You wasted your only real benefit of rolling human. If you didn’t want to capitalize off this bonus, you may as well have… not rolled a human.

At level 30 on a weapon you will upgrade with another axe with in about 4 levels. who cares?

And any research you do will tell you that the Axe is still better than the hammer for humans.

Reply 1: Apparently you do, so much in fact so that you made 2 different replies. You know you could have just put those in 1 post, right?
Reply 2: If you want to follow incorrect or bad guides, feel free. But in this case, they’re not even looking at the races. They just say “pick this because it hits harder”, and that’s it, just like the human players think.

And you are ignoring the warrior passive for axe specialization. Hammer specialization adds 0 dps

And I would rather trust a guide that has research to back up claims, then some random warrior arguing with me on a forum

I think Azura is right, personally I also believe that the slow speed of the axe + crit from spec outweighs the 5 skill bonus, which is minimal before lvl 60

-I wasn’t the first one to ignore it, but you’re acting as if a stun proc is bad. I wouldn’t even get a weapon spec prior to 60. What good are those points once you switch weapons to something else? You want to keep paying for respecs? Ok. You know if you want a 5% talent boost AND the skill, you could have just picked the sword.
-You go ahead and do that then. It’s your character. I didn’t originally even post for you. You came in to argue with me.

I responded to you because you decided to call every human warrior that chose the axe (including myself) dumb. TBH i chose human for SWORD specialization for end game weapons. I still chose WW axe because the sword is too fast and damage is too low for high MS hits. Honestly wouldn’t have mattered since I replaced my WW axe with bonebiter 3 levels later anyway. Claiming that we chose the wrong race over our choice of a level 30 weapon is just stupid.
