Something I wasn’t entirely clear about is how weapon specializations work for an arms warrior.
I plan on equipping 2H weapons more than anything. I realize that 2H weapons can also be swords, axes, maces and polearms.
What I’m confused about is, if I max 2H weapon specialization, do any of the weapon-specific specializations even matter to me? EX: If I max Mace Specialization, will that have an impact when I have 2H maces equipped, or only 1H maces?
As things are now I’m only planning on getting 2H specialization, but I was curious as to whether there’s any point in putting points towards any of the others. If not, that’s more points to put towards something else.
All applicable talents stack and apply at once.
If you take two-handed specialization, that particular talent applies with any 2h weapon.
If you take sword specialization (for example), it applies when wielding any sword.
If you wield a two-handed sword, you would gain the benefits of both talents.
Dang, I was afraid of that. lol.
Well, would you say it’s of significant benefit to do the weapon-specific specializations?
Yes. Mace spec maybe not for PVE DPS, but you shouldn’t be using a mace for PVE DPS.
The benefit from axe or sword spec is enormous and is definitely better than other options.
Looks like I might be spending the extra points to get better with swords, then.
Thanks for the info, Aryx!
