Warrior vs Mage 1v1

Just curious because I have a lot of trouble 1v1 mage vs warr, is there really a way to win without a luck burst because even with engineering I grenade when I get frost nova’d wait till they cast hit with nade and intercept but the mage usually ice blocks or blinks away again. Plus poly just resets fight no matter what in his advantage. Just looking for tips not trying to troll or rage, maybe I just need net or deathray also?

Against a good mage? No.

Stock up on FAPs and Resto Pots

we are the rock, they are the paper…find the scissor, kill the scissor.

Rock can’t find scissors, because scissors is invisible.

Lol figured, ty for response

FAP is the only way

The only way a Warrior should ever win against a mage is if the mage really really really sucks, or the warrior gets a lucky crit on mage

fapping is always the answer.

right now, mage should win most of the time with ease. When BWL comes out, warriors can get some lucky crits, when ZG comes out it’ll be about even.

If the mage is competent with their class no. A warrior should not win.

Sorry to say but a lot of vanilla PvP is scissors paper rock in 1v1.

And a warrior is scissors to a mages rock most of the time.

If you group up then you won’t have the same issues.

Smart warriors always pvp with a healer around. Just a warrior and a healer can wreck a lot of groups even when outnumbered like 3 or 4 to 1.

If you are an engineer get a reflector or net gun. These will help you far more than grenades.

For potions, protection is helpful to absorb enough damage to win a fight. This is far more than regular health potions. The other best choice is free action. That 30s buff almost guarantees a win vs most classes.

Btw ultra googles or cat potions greatly boost your stealth detection. So rock can find scissors.

Buy consumables. Without FAP and other consumables Warriors are unfortunately hands down the worst class for 1 v 1.

Either you have good enough gear that you crit and instagib someone off the charge/intercept or you are at the mercy of the other player.
You just have to stack health and hope that tou can outlast people to the point where they have nothing to stop you.

Solid point about engineering goods / consumables. Have definitely been caught off guard and suffered for it.

That being said, I see you pop a FAP in a 1v1 I’m turning you into a pig for the next 30 seconds.

I used to bait blinks or start waddling towards where I think they would blink, sometimes it’s enough to close the gap back in my Warrior days.

If they blink far enough away try to reset, get out of combat and charge the Mage. Look for los so you can bait the Mage towards you.
