The whole warrior class needs a rework frok the bottom up.
Its been neglected and now its comming back to bite them in the bum.
You cant treat paying customers who spent months into character development like trash.
Warriors are mad cause the class is unplayable!
Youre feeding us a baseline fix through an item, something that should have been done long ago through your override system. Give pve warriors proper aoe in raids like other classes, meanwhile warriors aoe is uber capped and lackluster.
But forget that. Thats not even the peak of the iceberg of problems the class faces. It effectivly has dead abilities at the end of its talent trees that do next to no damage. Their scalling is poor or non existant in the current state of the game.
Warriors are soo far behind the rest that just slapping on another +20% dmg wont suffice. They lack sustain. Lack burst! Lack base aoe. Lack damage outside of raids. Lack survivability.
Runee need reworking, buffing and straight up some need to be baseline the way the games progressed for warriors to be remotely useful
Lately i dont log my warrior unless its for raids cause my guild needs me, theres nothing you can do outside of raid as a warrior theyre that bad.

Nice argument homie. Nobody wants 30 warriors in one raid. We want to not be playing vanilla warrior in a game mode built on vanilla where boomies have permanent starfall, as just one example.
It’s insane that our 2 set is literally just “cleave hits an additional target”, that should’ve just been baked into imp cleave talent 10 months ago.
These devs have fully abandoned the class and it shows with how lazy they are when designing for us. Like, why not a rune that increases our rage cap to 200, increasing our damage dealt while above 100 rage, and increasing the cost of our abilities while over 100 rage. That could be interesting.
But instead we have a dedicated rune to give rend 4% ap scaling. It’s still trash btw.
Ret paladins are getting a 60% damage increase (to holy damage) from their 2 set, warriors are getting a 50% damage increase specifically to BT/MS/Shield Slam (why on the dps set? who knows, glad has been dead for over half a year), and cleave is finally going to be a sod ability via a 2 set bonus. Sorry, it’s going to be the equivalent of a wrath ability (funny story how warrior sucked there for 90% of the xpac), while we have classes receiving diablo 3 set bonuses.
You freaks genuinely need to let go of 2019. I’m sorry some fotm warrior stole your girl or your loot or whatever. But rogues and mages have been the kings of wow for 20 years. Can you go direct some hate at them for a couple of days?

I agree with the tier set issue… The cleave is a stupid addition and so is the WW damage… WW is just a filler button in the rotation really… look at all of the top warrior logs in the game and WW is literally near the bottom near OP… its a stupid idea for a DPS tier set and should definitely be worked on.

yeah youre swinging so fast HS is more used now… look at any high end log breakdown… people are using like 3 WWS per fight but 31 Heroic Strikes
but also a 50% dmg increase… the button is already bad enough to press as it is… 50% more dmg isnt gonna make it feel better

Ever since then warriors lost all support and was absent for months on the patch notes.
I’m still waiting for someone to show me where the pushback was. I looked in fight club, there was ~12 hours of complaining and then everyone went “well it’ll suck or it wont lets see what happens”, and then a bunch of responses on twitter that boiled down to literally “but you’ll have to rework the entire class”
Is 12 hours of theorycrafting people being concerned about how the class will play/perform after requiring a complete rebuild really pushback?
Or more likely, is it that they put in rage normalization, realized they’d have to rebuild the entire class for all 3 specs and went “nevermind”, because they don’t want to put that kind of work into warrior.
Rage normalization is what we have in cata, look at how the class plays. It’s built around having it.
Cleave is about to become one of your best abilities.
The sword Regicide, with the weapon 2-pc set bonus, makes Cleave do +50% damage on its primary target for each unused bounce. That means cleave just becomes a +100% weapon damage modifier on a single target with your T3.5 T2 piece.
Z doesn’t do the set bonuses just the item stats and those weapon effects and bonuses. Not tier
It’s not the sword Regicide. Regicide is the execute bonus.
The set bonus you’re thinking of is the Kingsfall/Queensfall dagger set, which has you using two 2.1aspeed daggers to get the 50/100% bonus damage on cleave. The top end damage is a full 80 damage lower than the 2-set Tools of the Nathrezim weapons.
So you’d be trading the damage on slam/op/whirlwind/autoattacks for improved damage on cleave, and not getting any benefits from heroic strike talents/set bonuses.
You also lose heroic strikes added damage, which clips into some of the upside of an improved cleave…we don’t know the numbers, yet, so it’s all speculation, but I am not expecting much more than middle of the road for Warrior PVE DPS unless they change quite a bit
And that’s not even addressing how screwed 2H Warriors seem to be getting for weapon options. It’s basically Ashbringer or Gimmick for us.
Mmm. Yeah I only recently saw your post, I looked on the PTR myself and saw what bonuses came from what. I just heard about these second-hand initially.
You also get the Rend refresh which saves you Rage and GCDs not needing to refresh it. But yes I would say probably the two daggers are better for some kind of AE/multi-DOT and the 2-set makes it so that once you’re down to a single target you aren’t missing out on as much damage. The Coup thing seems better for pure single target.
it would be nice to have more single target damage as the AOE ship is already way sailed
