Also look at how shamans rage posted their way into getting all 3 specs S tier. Blizz sets the rules, we just play the game.
Gota be loud, and voice what you want then.
I’ve been asking for a warrior rework since last expansion they did Arms but completely forgot/left Fury into the dust pile and Protection warrior was mid through the expansion after the nerfs.
Actually we’re getting nerfed in Burst AOE in 11.0.5 which giving us soft cap at 5 (Stupid decision by Blizzard) and our Single target is now considered worst than Augmentation Evokers…that’s right we’re dead last right now in single target as Fury.
Yeah, it sucks, and people wonder why warriors doom so much…
The big problem with their balancing for warriors is that they continuously target abilities shared, rather than doing anything about the talents of the hero specs for tuning. They can specifically tune abilities individual specs, but choose not to.
Thane Fury blowsssssssssssssss. Colossus Arms sucks.
So they dually nerf Slayer for both Fury and Arms. The ST buffs to RB/BT are… nice, but I don’t want to play AM for another expansion in a row. Like, dear lord…
I’d dig this or snare-break (or a snare ignore, as to have less mitigation-potential in removing snare-DoTs) as an attachment to Berserker Shout or the like.
Or just generally getting a few new real utility choices in place of Reinforced Plates, Crushing Force, Frothing Berserker, and possibly Barbaric Training/Sidearm and Seismic Reverberation/Concussive Blows.
Also wouldn’t be opposed to one among Spell Reflect, War Machine, Thunder Clap, or Intimidating Shout being baselined…
TBF, they did since TBC
How dare you, Colossus is fun af and pumps for m+ too.
Colossus does big damage yes. But it also has a huge margin for error with tanks moving mobs, or in PvP people moving slightly 3 yards away and you wiff all that damage. Colossus sucks until they let you move while channeling demolish, that’s literally all they have to do to correct it. I’m baffled that they don’t due to how low colossus is picked by the general playerbase running keys.
generally speaking, for fury I would make thane increase the damage melee reach so it would be easier in keys to reach target, and I would make slayer have no target cap so it would feel like an actual slayer. Also, I would completely gut out all the spells out of the tool kit and put in new ones because what we have now is a 4-button rotation that hurts my wrist, I mean we are coming into the 20-year anniversary which means arthritis. I would include a 20 sec burst aoe spell so our aoe damage is sustained and will not dip.
only 4 people left playing M+, let go…
I think this is worth repeating. Hope Blizzard reads this and considers it, but I certainly don’t expect them to haha.
Eninya is right though, we won’t ever be the Swiss army knife and as such, we should be high end damage routinely. We bring nothing else (for the most part).
No one is asking to be a swift army knife but to have actually something that is good. Warriors are also rarely top damage dealers. When classes like DK, ret pallys, mages and shamans out dps warrior, then yes they deserve more utility. If warrior were always top tier in damage then no one would be complaining about the state of warrior.
Honestly I think there’s just a bit of a disconnect in how Blizzard sees utility and how players see it.
People tend to discount Battle Shout as the fantastic buff it really is.
It increases ALL of any STR/AGI based damage contribution for the dungeon/raid. If this damage increase got reattributed to the warrior on logs you would see them much higher than most other melee.
This is a pretty solid buff for those classes, so an optimal comp for a warrior to fit in wouldn’t be with casters, it would be with other melee and hunters.
Now these groups may not exactly be “meta” but you can set-up a pretty solid comp together with this in mind that can go the distance provided everyone’s of a similar mindset.
Anyway back to the point, so while Warrior seem “selfish” to the playerbase they are not in the eyes of Blizzard.
Agree with everything you just said. I’m just saying we have a better chance at getting damage than we do utility.
And Shamans should out dps Warriors because they are much harder to play. Much harder.
Elemental and enhance are very easy. I do wish they would change the way fury plays and I think it needs a rework where most of the damage isn’t built into the cd’s.
Elementalist Enhancement is probably the hardest spec to play. Certainly harder than the 4 button Fury.
That’s like saying it’s harder to do a dot to dot than it is to colour in between the lines.
Nothing is objectively hard to play in this game. If it strokes your ego though, you do you.
Yeah it isn’t even close actually. Fury, Ret and BM mains struggle with this concept. It isn’t an ego thing, it is just a fact.
