Can they be sold in the AH? Before it was a easy dungeon crawl… grab 5 random folks and go. Didn’t even need to do the whole thing. But now a important and useful trinket is gated behind a 20 man raid… I have no problem with ST being a raid but rather just annoying that the voodoo feathers are still in there

I’m planning on raiding some? Just waiting for guild to get more 50s… also I PvP and a 1min buff is amazing for PvP.
This was a really stupid oversight. One of the best parts of leveling up in Classic was doing your level 50 class quest and getting a nice upgrade. For those who do not raid, it’s no longer possible. For those who do raid, the rewards are not even pre-BiS.

All the retail devs all are about is end game pve content, so here we are. They think if they add the “QoL” (straight massive buff) of giving you all three options, then it’s okay.
yeah the lvl 50 class quest in ST is kind of a staple of vanilla

I guess I can just RP with my Soul Harvester and Robes of Servitude while I look at the Abyss Shard taking up space in my bag and wonder why it still exists when Warlocks got a Never Ending Soul Vessel.
for warriors the items are pre boss drop-BiS and BiS raid
Shoulders being the exception replaced by crafting
helm is BiS when BS helm is on CD
and Dflask has been BiS forever
Diamond Flask is pretty much the best trinket in the game, and will continue to be goated at 60 as well.
With them also giving warriors the other goated items, it seems perfectly fair to me that all of that is gated behind a 20 man raid tbh. Just pug a Sunken Temple and get the quest done if you can’t be bothered to wait for your guild to start running it.
EDIT: Also its in the easier half of the raid anyways. Just join a pug, not sure why that’s so hard.

This is a lesson that inductive reasoning doesn’t always lead to valid conclusions. What other classes is this true?
OP is a warrior complaining that he can’t get raid-level gear without doing a raid.
My post was directed at him and his complaints, not at the overall issue of the other ST class quest rewards mostly being lackluster in comparison.
Would it have been nice if they actually made at least one of each of the Class Quest Chain rewards as good for their respective classes as Diamond Flask is for warriors? Obviously it would have been nice, yeah.
But that was apparently deemed too much development time, so in the end all they’ve done is make it so you get all three rewards instead of having to choose.
It is what it is, but I’m certainly not going to feel pity for any warriors who are complaining that they need to do a raid for some of the best gear they can currently get their hands on in not just Phase 3 but also Phase 4, at least where Diamond Flask is concerned.
I’m going to be raiding… it’s like week 1. Not everyone is as sweaty as others. But getting that trinket was a nice way to gear up before raiding… now it’s not.
But you dont play, so of course you dont care. You just have an opinion on it because…

if you arent raiding yet i doubt youre parsing or speed clearing
you could prob do ST without any trinkets at all
So what? It’s a good trinket for all sorts of things DPS and Warrior related. Don’t try and gatekeep it… that’s not what this post is about. It’s annoying that something that used to be fairly easy to access is now harder to access… SoD isn’t about making the older stuff inaccessible. It’s about adding fun new things.

I haven’t even started looking for a group? My whole point was that it wasn’t a raid before when this quest came out. Now it is and that is just adding an extra layer of difficulty to the average warrior who may want this for whatever reason. It’s not up to you do decide if that person NEEDS it or not.
They changed the dungeon to a raid and the quest didn’t change in anticipation of this. Perhaps the developers thought it was raid appropriate and left it? That’s cool… but it’s still annoying and that’s all this post was about.

They might as well make it purple then… Since it’s raid quality now.
