So I cant decide which one to go guys. I want to Melee, cause honestly casters are boring IMO (though I do have a Lock). I want to tank or at least have the ability to tank and I know rogue tanking is super rough right now, but I am hopeful it MAY get better in later stages.
Warrior - Played one before in classic and mained one in real classic. I like that they can for sure 100% tank if I wanted to, and Im not against speccing Prot (I always have). I also know they get ridiculously good (even though they already are at 25) but I also don’t like going to a raid at seeing 10 other of my same class, its kinda…bleh.
Rogue - Ive never really played one. I never appreciated the combo point thing, but I am willing to try something out of my comfort zone. I just worry that they wont fix Rogue tanking, but who knows.
Also, I dont PVP …at all.
Anyway, what yall think?
Unless radical changes are made, warriors look like they’ll remain strong tanks and top-tier DPS. Rogues are definitely competing on DPS and I’m sure they’ll get some love for their new tank spec in phase 2 and beyond, but realistically, most players who play rogue seem to just want to DPS. The idea of a rogue tanking just feels… weird.
I haven’t encountered a single rogue tank in any dungeon I’ve done thus far, and I’ve done a LOT of instances in SoD.
Well, do you want to be a stealthy boi, or a real warrior?

Rogue needs global combo points to tank somewhat reliably. Switching targets and losing combo points is really why I don’t care to try tanking as a rogue. It would be like a warrior switching targets and losing half their rage…
Also, no AOE taunt is going to be a problem eventually…
