Warrior of Light and Champion of Azeroth

Who would win in a fight?

Warrior of Light using .5% of their full power.

Didn’t we have a very long version of this thread already? No matter…

Warrior of Light would win. Our WoW character is decently tough, but really isn’t much too write home about. The Warrior of Light is the hero of their story, and prolly one of the most powerful people on the planet at this point. Not to mention the fact that they can summon teammates to them whenever they need to.

WoL literally has the power of god, anime and friendship on his side.

I have no idea who the WOL is.

Realistically? It really depends on the context.

The Warrior of Light, despite being the main character of their story and all the power you’d expect from an anime main character, they can be wrecked by even mundane things if they are not prepared for it. That being said, the WoL also tends to be…smarter and learn from mistakes so I feel they could easily outthink the Champion of Azeroth. The Champion of Azeroth on the other hand, at a minimum, tends to come from decades of just nonstop wars so would likely be able to come out on top in a straight fight.

Now once we start having them take advantage of their unique “main character” power, it becomes more fun.

The Champion of Azeroth may be able to punch Death God to death but that’s generally only after getting an outside power up that they tend not to keep. To even a playing field, let’s say the Champion of Azeroth kept their Artifact Weapon and the Azerite power they got.

While the Warrior of Light, honestly just has the power of friendship and a strong will. And that power of friendship and will has allowed them to punch way above their weight class to the point of punching out the embodiment of despair that has already killed much of their universe faster than the Legion.

Would the CoA’s weapons be a match for the WoL’s will? I’d love to see.

EDIT: Now thinking about it, I wonder how the player character of say Guild Wars 2 would fair in such a fight.

Yes, and it likely got removed due to being off-topic and better done in the Other Games subforum. Like every other unrelated thread talking about other video games on WoW’s general discussion board - you know, a board meant specifically for WoW discussion.

Already reported this one, as well. One day maybe XIV will actually put out enough content to keep its Jehovah’s Witnesses busy enough to not come and troll other MMO forums. :dracthyr_a1:

The world’s biggest overpowered plot device, essentially.

It sounds cheesy when you write it out, but yeh… We literally beat the last boss of Endwalker with the help of god-like beings, hope, and our friends. It sounds silly, but my gosh it was a fun fight. Specially when our theme music kicked in.

WOL - I feel like it wouldn’t really even be much of a contest. WOL would wipe the floor with Azeroths Champion

… maybe not a DK.

WoL can switch between several classes on a whim.

Champ has the one, and it may not even be meta on a particular patch.

sephiroth would win

I don’t think it’s fair to consider the WoL vs just one of us. In the old raids the NPC’s would tell you to “gather your friends” to defeat stronger opponents. So I can only presume the WoL would be vs the hundreds of thousands of us.

Otherwise in a 1v1 the WoL wins hands down. That’s the power of anime. We’re strong but definitely not plot armor strong.

Warlock just chain fears and dots the WoL.
Priest just MC’s the WoL off the cliff.
DK… just throws the body of one of his friends to him… turns away as the WoL cradles the lifeless body of their friend… tears flowing down the WoL’s cheeks. WoL curses the DK… who is still walking away slowly (because that’s what DKs do… we move the slowest… we move so slow that we should fall in slow mo… anyways back to the scene)
The DK stops… raises a hand… snaps their fingers as the body explodes in blood, guts, and most importantly bone.

The WoL is splayed out on the ground with their friend’s femur sticking out of their neck. He smiles as he remembers he always said his friends will be the death of him.
Fade to black. Roll credits.
