Warrior love

You know the problem with using this metric?

It’s the exact same as it was using this metric four years ago.

You’re looking at a list that simply lists every timed key in the game, looking from the top.

Meaning the same group, doing multiple keys, will push down the list.

You know who’s typically dominating the top of the list? Groups like MNA, or MEU, who will have sessions where they play for half the day, timing key after key. This is literally their job.

People pushing 20s in general aren’t exactly casuals, but comparing them to the people who do this nonstop is rather silly.

When the top keys are half the same three groups, do you not see how it’s a flawed comparison. And in no way disproves my points.

And the rally, and the fact that it’s a very strong tank on the last three bosses (you know, the three hardest)

I actually am a schoolteacher. I love this.

No one said this.

If you’ve been doing something for 16 years and all you have to show for it is this,

I don’t think bragging about that is a good starting point.

Additionally, you’ve only been playing this warrior for three months. Same as me, same as everyone else here.

I actually made the comparison because the memory came to me as I was reading the thread…

When I was in school we had this algebra teacher…and none of the kids could stand her. Maybe because she was a little strict, maybe because she gave alot of homework, I can’t rightly remember that part. The kids absolutely hated her, talked badly of her, made fun of her…you know high schoolers can be cruel.

Anyway, it wasn’t until after I graduated and went to college that I really learned to appreciate that teacher because she was about the only damn math teacher I had that I learned really well from. I might not have liked her in school but alot of what she taught me actually stuck.

Conversely, we had a teacher in college that didn’t give a damn whether you passed or failed, never assigned homework, only grades were tests. What a terrible class. Was so hard to learn anything.

I dunno where I was going with this post but, maybe the point is sometimes it’s the strict, tough love, to-the-point way of teaching that sticks the best, even if people despise it.

I wish derez was my teacher in every class i get at university, i would learn and remember so much more with him then those i have haha. Derez best teacher!

But its true that strict and competent teacher are the best for teaching students, sadly there not a lot of them, they would make sure the future generation arent big dummies.

Is the state of warriors really bad? I just decided to use my warrior this expansion (came in late I know)…was this a bad idea? I do mostly solo stuff. PVE.

This is one of the reason I chose teaching as a career too, I always wanted to change the world and teachers are those who inspire the younger generations to change and be the best they can be.

Once I came to that realization I knew what I wanted to do with my life.

Prot is viable, but we are not wanted because other classes have more support for the group.

Arms, I’m usually near the top in my raids, or if not Top.

Fury, that needs a buff.

There is no wrong choice for you. Find something you enjoy spending time on and run with it.

Thanks I decided to go with warrior, I am enjoying it.

kinda… 8% is a step in the right direction but their single target dps is a lot more than 8% behind the middle of the pack. Fury still needs another 8-10% to be in the middle of the pack.

No. It does not.

Your own logs that you post all the time would indicate otherwise. Unless that 8% somehow translates into a net effect of 16% which it won’t…

I’ve explained this at length. I’m not going to again.

The difference is never as large as logs make it appear. Blizzard has never balanced specs based off that gap. There is a reason for this.

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize that Fury warriors had some great amount of utility that justifies them doing less than average single target damage. Oh wait… they don’t.

Lol, no matter how many times he explains it, you just never seem to get it. He says one thing and then you literally write your own statement to argue against instead.

Another 8-10% would prob be too much at this point. There also the 2nd potency and the last soulbind unlock coming soon enough, so who know how it will affect the specs. Maybe it will be more unbalance or it wont be, that remain to be seen.

His statement was pretty clear. That he thinks it’s ok for fury warriors to do less than average damage for some reason. No matter what his point was, there is no justification for that statement. There is nothing about the spec that would justify that point of view. If his point of view was that fury warriors now are NOT below average in single target damage, then he’s simply wrong.

at this point they need to just heavy hand the buffs instead of ease them. “oh no warriors are too good for a week we have to nerf them 5% next week” would that even be so bad after how miserable its been? Just give us the damn buffs already stop making us wait weeks for nothing worth subscribing for

No, he didn’t say that. You seem convinced that he is saying this, but he is not. He has never said anything of the sort.

That is what he said. And that is accurate. It’s been explained before. There are very few people playing Fury right now. This creates a gap between where Fury is, and what it’s capable of, which is then added to the disparity in their potential.

If they buffed Fury based purely off its performance, rather than it’s capability, then once all the good players switched back it would become immediately obvious it was overtuned.

There are plenty of established “good players” who are still fury and aren’t outperforming what the logs indicate.

Well…no, not really. There are roughly 1000 people killing mythic bosses as Fury atm, compared to over 6k Arms. Unholy has similar numbers. You’re simply wrong about that, it’s simple math.

There are a couple of very good people playing Fury, and they’re the outliers at the very top of the dataset everyone wants to ignore, where Fury’s top quartile would be if we had 6000 people raiding mythic too.
