That’s pretty interesting. He shows that on a level 30 warrior. So, I know that warriors benefit more than any other class from spirit regen, at spirit * 0.8 + 6 per tick vs say paladins, the second biggest benefit at spirit * 0.25 + 6 per tick, or warlocks who benefit the least with regards to health regen from spirit atspirit + 0.07 + 6.5 per tick.
For some reason, I thought that the benefits were reduced after level 30, though I can’t seem to find any source to verify that! Though I suppose it could have something to do with spacing between mobs.
I’d be hesitant though to pretend or claim experience with this as a smoother leveling tactic without having experienced it personally. Warriors are not super fun to solo level compared to any other class, as far as I know.
Personally, I’m not a huge fan of solo questing, anyway though, so it’s not something I tend to practice, research or claim expertise in. It may be interesting to do some research, and preparation, and test out some of these ideas in leveling an alt warrior at some point.
Important thing with Warriors is keeping ahead of the curve with your questing, you need to grind a bit as you walk between zones/quests so you can try and keep mobs and quests in the green range otherwise you will be forced to stop and heal often.
It’s pretty much the same deal with all classes in classic if you want to level effectively, but for Warriors (and Rogues even) it is evem more important.
Retaliation whilst on a long 30 min cd feels really good to use as arms. Just pull a massive pack every 30 mins, chuck up retal and sweeping strikes and then just spam cleave. You just decimate packs of upto 10 mobs.
Just make sure they don’t have a disarm, stun or are ranged lol.
I did upgrade gear a lot and didn’t get mount till about 43 because of that. But if you grind out a level or 2 on swamp jaguars or something you will get the gold back from buying gear.
I mostly leveled through dungeons, so have had pretty decent gear, though I could have had better if I had leveled a hunter or something first, and fed gold/gear/enchants to my warrior.
I also probably am used to being in a group with a healer, and very much dislike not being with one, so that could be part of it.
Also, comparing to a hunter alt who, compared to leveling my warrior has been very much a breeze, so far.
Its fun, take your time, do all the quests. Get a level above the quests you are doing. I took mining/blacksmith so I keep myself on par. If you are in for a race to endgame, you will have problems.
