On a crappy 3rd world mop private server i can leap on almost everything while falling at 300 mph from the sky, i cant land on a flat roof in cata. you guys have got to fix this. its a joke. imagine not even being to leap back onto the bridge on blades edge when you have 3 knock classes. disgusting

You think youre doing something with this, but youre not, i can easily upload years and years of proof showing how heroic leap on cata classic doesnt work on anything but the same flat surface to the same flat surface, and every other expac it worked completely different
I actually kinda agree with him here. The state of heroic leap is horrible. It’s a damn important skill in pvp, and it needs to work right since they took away stance dance charge/intercept.
If I had to take an educated guess how often heroic leap does not work for me in BG’s when it 100% should… I would say 25-30% of the time. Maybe even a little higher.
In arena when you’re blown off an edge, and you’re fast enough to get that leap back… but it does not work… it feels really really bad.

I did play warrior in OG Cata, but I could not be certain that my memories of playing it over a decade ago are accurate.
Of course if it is not working as it should be for Cata content, then it would be nice to have a fix.

OK. I haven’t seen any, and I am not playing a warrior now, so I don’t really have an opinion on that.
The comment about “anyone who played” over 10 years ago just struck me, and I wanted to point out that not only is it likely difficult to have a clear memory from that long ago, changes that one might experience in newer versions of the game or on private servers may distort recollections from that time, not that I’m suggesting it is currently working as intended.

Heroic Leap has been getting steadily worse over the years. Especially, even if coincidentally, since the introduction of that pathetic and unnecessary class demon hunter.
(Warlocks and rogues have similar grievances. Having your stuff neutered and/or appropriated to justify the stupid new kid’s existence is not a good feeling.)

Back in the day the devs were concerned with warriors using leap to get to places they weren’t supposed to go, so they tuned it very conservatively. As time went on they loosened some of the restrictions baked into the success checks.
If they made the leap logic more modern in functionality I wouldn’t care, but it isn’t fair to blame Blizzard for it’s behavior because it’s behavior is authentic. This is how it worked in Cata.
edit: What I am saying is this isn’t a bug, this is design. It’s fair to ask for changes but it’s not fair to imply that Blizzard is inept and can’t figure out how to make it work.

I do remember playing it back in Cata. It was pretty buggy at times. A fix would be nice.
You can’t compare versions of wow. Each are different. If someone does not like a current version of wow, then fine. Provide your feedback to the correct area and stop with all of the blizzard sucks nonsense.

One may get you what you want, the other will never get you what you want.
I am defending no one. These kinds of statements are from angry people who can’t control themselves (among a vast of other issues they have).
Technically there is nothing wrong w/defending a person or a company you like. I tend never to defend a company as they are normally only around for profits at the expense of everything unhealthy or not good.
However, I do use common sense. And common sense states that I don’t go off on tyrants and compare apples to oranges and say I wish your apples were more like these oranges.
What I am doing is telling you if you don’t like this version, but you do like another version - go play it.
They should just fix their game instead. So I can play that.
