I’d like the dev team who is in charge of arms to explain their obsession with bleed/dot damage (troar) and bladestorm
Like why do they think this is what Arms players want? Shadowlands arms felt great and then DF comes and it was nonstop nerfs to any chunky burst and constant buffs to stuff like troar and bladestoem
What a weird timeline we’ve entered. I’ve been very casual this xpac but I was wondering why hunters felt like tanks and if I was just nuts and playing like garbage (more than normal) but apparently this is real.
I first noticed it in solo shuffle war games before season start amongst friends
Mix of all kinds of rated players but we had a challenger MM hunter who we’d play with for fun in DF, 1400 player max would die to anything
In the war games he was the kill target and wouldn’t die and was doing max dam. Everyone was like “wow (MM) has really improved since DF, he won’t die and is actually topping meters”
Arms and fire can keep themselves company in the gutter tier, althought I think it feels more like Arms is standing on my head poking themselves out of the gutter like pennywise.
I feel like most if not all of these could be unnerfed (maybe not all at the same time)
This is the only one I’m okay with being nerfed, because it does feel silly to just stay above that threshold for long enough to accrue several stacks and then randomly explode and die instantly to a couple lucky crits.
Because the design of the big executes/MSs created a tuning problem in pve and pvp that was almost impossible to balance because it was punished more by lack-of-uptime than any class besides maybe Breath of sindragosa fdk.
Between the stacking modifiers in Executioner’s precision, martial prowess, juggernaut, and arger management reducing cds, warrior would CRANK with uptime and suffer horribly with downtime. This made it really hard to target any kind of tuning because different pve fights and pvp matchups would have wildly different performance results.
I know bleeds aren’t exactly a popular or satisfying damage archetype, but it DOES make a class SO much easier to turn and “evens out” the highs and lows of high versus low uptime.
Also, as someone who is not a warruor main but has played it quite a bit (and thinks it currently needs some adjustments), I like bleeds being a sufficient part of warrior damage because I still feel like I’m doing something even when I’m being kited.
The problem currently is that all the “highs” of (arms) warrior potential damage are all nerfed, and the “lows” are more or less occurring in every game because of what’s meta (everything that can kite warrior).
Fatality is fine. You can see the stacks. It only stacks to like 8 now with the 70% nerf on them, and 30% of current hp is just shy of 2 mil. You can lower the nerf to damage and keep stacks locked at 8.
He’s wrong, Arms is playable but you gotta be a masochist (or me) & just want to rage from tickling people until they die or hoping your dk pal kills them for you. ‘Here buddy I put sharpen up please win’.
Make sure to kite more than a surv hunter does to live, hop away & just straight heroic throwing melee until your rsham can heal you 20x just to top me only to instantly go back down to 30% in 2 seconds.
Arms is about controlling the enemy and applying a strong mortal strike effect. Are you sure you are playing the spec correctly? I am sure it can be strong in the right hands.
ive been saying this for 3-4 years now. blizz needs to remove all pvp warrior nerfs, and yes they need to buff execute by 100%. no way should are finisher ability be hitting for 200k lmao
fury always was garbage for pvp, go arms if you want to be Op, but arm warrior is for pro players. if you have the skill , use it , is dont, just go Dh or Retry
