Warrior + dictionary

Hello again friends,

Just a question for fun, what is most fun warrior spec? And what’s the talent trees would look like?
By fun I mean lvl 60 fun, cuz the lvling sucks anyway :wink:

And does anybody knows where to find a dictionary for all the shortcuts on wow?

P.s - how do I know how much threat per second? Tps it called I think.

Wowhead has some great class guides and talent tree calculators. Just select the Classic section.

What’s fun really depends on what YOU like.

Arms = slow heavy hits
Fury = fast lighter hits
Prot = standing toe to toe with heavy hitters and keeping their attention

I actually enjoy all of them, but sometimes Arms feels like I’m spending a lot of time waiting to swing my weapon. Those numbers when I get a crit, though, wheee.

Not sure what you mean by this. Maybe you mean a glossary of the acronyms (like for the dungeons, e.g. RFC or BRD, or for getting groups, e.g. LFM 2 DPS). If so, I don’t think there’s a dictionary, but most can be found with a search and a few have to be asked.

I picked up an addon (ClassicThreatMeter), but I’m not sure how much of it is currently guesswork and how much is accurately calculated. It also does not show other players unless they have it or a compatible addon.

Yup, that’s what I meant. I’ll look up what I can.

So how do players keep saying that warrior has more tps than Druid? If you can see it on game?

I like Arms, so far.

Oh.

I will be kind of surprised if you find any of them fun then. I’m guessing we’ll be getting another “I quit” thread in a couple weeks.

I’ll quit when I die, I just see in every YouTube and on this forum that lvling warrior is the slowest and hardest in classic. Never really tried it.

Glad to hear it.

My Arms warrior is…level 17, I think? And a lot of fun so far.

(I have ten characters, so none of them are higher level than 26, yet.)

One of the most obvious signs of who can put out more threat is who can keep a mob from veering off toward a high output damage dealer. If a player pulls mobs off a druid in bear but not off a warrior, they’d be likely to say warriors have more threat.

If you want a better level 60 comparison of druid tanking and warrior tanking, I know someone had posted a video a while back of someone discussing the merits of a bear tank/off-tank in raiding. (Don’t know if it was vanilla or private server, but given they were raiding ZG in the video, it clearly wasn’t Classic. Either way, though, he talks about a lot of the differences and what to know if you want to go druid tank.)

Yes that’s my point.

At first I was embarrassed/ ashamed that I lvled my mage to 20 and then opened a Druid who’s lvl 22 .

But after reading a lot of comments here including yours, i see that this is classic!
I don’t need to rush to 60 which is what I felt on retail (last wow I played was retail WoD and legion, left like 2 years almost). Everyone kept rushing me to 60, but here it’s ok to slow down and not go fast to max.
I can take a break from lvling Druid by playing warrior or maybe try a hunter etc…

I guess classic was always been the game for me, it’s just that I only now found it. Back at the time I wasn’t into world of Warcraft that much even tho I was 19-20.
