Warrior Death Wish

BLUF: Keep Death Wish on the fury tree.

So part way through TBC Death Wish was taken off the fury tree and given to arms. Now, I think sweeping strikes is fun, but it only really hurts fury in the long run. Warrior AOE is volatile and only slightly helpful in trash fights. In fact, I’d say even Blizzard regretted this change since Death Wish was moved back to fury in Wrath of the Lich King. I don’t even know if it would be considered a major change since fury has had Death Wish, had it for a portion of TBC, and had it after TBC, but in the spirit of #somechanges it would be nice to see fury with Death Wish. It won’t even really hurt arms warriors either since very few take Endless Rage, so arms will continue to enjoy the best of both worlds. I know Blizzard is considering class performance very seriously considering the change to help paladins across the board, so I hope this will be considered as well.

Please feel free to chime in. I don’t do a lot of dps sims, but considering historical performance numbers, I don’t think this would rocket warriors to the top of the charts, but would still give them a pleasant bump. Thank you.

In tbc arms warrior in raids is actual more important than fury because of the buff they give melee, so anything that helps their dps is good for the raid and warriors. That’s not to say fury’s won’t have a spot I think 25 mans will have a prot, arms, and fury (as long as the fury does awesome dps).

Fury warriors are subpar in raids, it’s better to take 2 hunters and extra tank than 3 fury warriors.

1 arms and 1 prot warr is enough.

Don’t think we should rebalance an entire spec just to make fury warriors viable, they weren’t good in TBC, just like retri paladins weren’t in Classic.

It’s definitely true that arms will be the dps warrior go-to because of Blood Frenzy, but since many arms warriors will go 33/28 with some variability based on personal needs, this wouldn’t really affect them, but will help add agreeable flexibility to other warrior specs, even if they are less preferential.
