Comparing charge to several other gap closer abilities (Monk roll/FSK, Demon Hunter’s the hunt, Feral Druid wild charge, etc.) it seems to interact uniquely with roots like frost nova and ice nova. If a monk or feral or DH rolls/leaps/hunts toward me and I press ice nova, their forward motion is interrupted and they are rooted in the middle of the ability. Warriors, however, when rooted on their charge, do not stop charging. The charge goes all the way through and the root is applied at a delay once they have reached their target. In other words, there is no way to stop a warrior’s charge. This seems to be a different interaction than what has been the norm in the past. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this, if it is interacting as intended and what people think about it. I believe it may have something to do with the pvp talent that increases the damage of charge and causes it to do AoE damage, but that’s just a speculation.
The root or the damage is fine. But when put together it’s stupid game design
You can halt a warrior mid root but has to be like 200ms.
charge prob animates slower than its actual velocity like chaos bolt
My experience is getting disconnscted with multiple failed login attempts when I get rooted on charge.
I thought this too - that the animation was just slower and it was a visual thing. But I have recorded several clips of this happening and some include side-by-side comparison to another class i.e. a monk and warrior both roll and charge at me simultaneously, Ice Nova hits them both, the monk is halted and the warrior continues charging into melee range of me, unimpeded . So, I think this is more than just an animation/visual effect; seems to be a strange, unintuitive interaction that gives warriors a unique advantage.
This usually results in the warrior disconnecting.
Ice nova certainly does stop warrior charge, I’ve done it many times, but sometimes it just doesn’t.
Probably has to do with lag/ms
Hey man, cant have that negative talk about warriors around here
