Warrior - Bruce Lee show that's now on Netflix

I’m normally an anime type but this show has been awesome so far.

I know it’s a few years old but if you missed it maybe check it out.

Acting is great, story is on point but the fight scenes are just mind blowing!

Anyway, figured I share, have a great weekend!

I remember watching this show when Season 3 aired on Max. I really enjoyed it during the first season or so, but as time went on, the writing for some characters deteriorated, making them increasingly insufferable. When I heard it was getting canceled, I wasn’t surprised. It’s a shame, too, because I loved the concept—especially the Bruce Lee connection and influence, the setting, and the overall premise. I also appreciated the performances of some of the actors. However, the show’s quality declined significantly, possibly due to the transition from Cinemax to HBO; I’m not sure. It deserved a better conclusion than the way it was left.

Edit for better grammarz.

Watching it now, I like it a lot. Bruce allegedly came up with a basic concept of the show back when he was doing Green Hornet, at least that’s the story people like passing around, but it got changed by the studio into what became Kung Fu with David Carradine. Of course Warrior is no closer to Bruce’s concept as Kung Fu was, it just comes from a different direction, more sex, violence, and grit than Bruce’s idea, but it is really good.
