So, I started in BC ended at the Conclusion of Care. I played Fury warrior because as a teenager, arms pvp and Prot Tanking felt untouchable for me. So, I leveled a new warrior on a server and was prot. I got about 605 gear level and i bought items aa fury. All of the items for Fury had more stanima than strength. Is that normal or did i mess up what i bought. It was the Earthern Land lubber set in the siren isles.
Wrong character post. Its bee. A long a$$ time since ive been in the forum.
That’s normal. Gear has tons more stamina than primary stat, around 3x as much stam. You’re good.
Thanks i guess thar change at some point. Does that mean the difference between my tank gear and dps gear is Trinkets and Weapons? Is thete a swap out point like the Raid Tier sets?
Sorry just to be clear:
- What spec did you want to be?
- What level of content did you intend to do on said spec or in general?
I intent to be prot, but i think some events like memory fragments are taking too slow because of lack of damage.
Are you mostly doing stuff like Delves/LFR/Low keys?
Pretty much. And things like gems and enchants. If you have two pieces of gear with the same ilevel but different secondary stats one might be better for tanking and one might be better as DPS, but that’s about it.
Yes, i get anxious. My original server was Dalvengr which was super small and tight nit. And everyone knew i was like 17 in cata when people where pugging, but im socially not great.
Easy a good build would be to go:
Haste > Crit >= Versatility > Mastery. It’s possible to play pretty offensively and Protection Warrior is fun.
You likely have your candle paired with Avatar but if you don’t it could be worth tying into it.
Thanks. I think a lot of things have changed forever.
For what it’s worth looks like you’re making good progress. Crafting is a bit to get around but I’d recommend it next.
If you decide to continue as fury (I had intended to be prot, but changed to fury like you, and loved it so much I never looked back) make sure to set your loot specialization to Arms so you can get 2h weapons.
Thanks, I see what you mean.
Yep, the amount of strenth and stam on an item is just a function of what slot it’s in, and what the ilvl is.
Gear has become a lot more standardized than it was in BC->Cata.
try joining the discord called wownoob too, they help a lot and answer questions for players.
