So I googled: wow forums
very first result is NOT the forums, it is a phishing attempt to get you to longin. the website is:
worldofwarcraft (dot) forums (dot) blizzard
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO LOGIN TO THIS FORUM IT IS AN ATTEMPT AT GETTING YOUR INFORMATION!
As always ensure you have your authenticator enabled for your accounts.
Guess itâs good that the only way I log into the forums is from the B-Net App.
Google is not trustworthy of anything.
I just searched for âwow forumsâ on Google on got the correct US forums, then the EU forums, then MMO Champion, and WowHead. I didnât see anything like what you see, but good looking out, bruv.
yeah their quality has dropped like a stone in water recently
I reported the site to google, they may have taken care of it. good.
DuckDuckGo is where you want to search engine. Trust me.
Duck it!
Been using Bing lately, seems to find things better.
As a general rule, never click those âfeaturedâ or âpromotedâ ads at the top of Google searches
You never know if thereâs a scam/phishing site sprinkled in there among the legit ones⌠always scroll down and look for the actual official site
Iâve heard of so many crypto dudes over the past few years that lost a large chunk of their stash (or all of it) simply because they typed in their password/credentials on a phishing page (âŚand usually a page âfeaturedâ by Google towards the top)
it was actually not available on google for a hot minute. It took Google almost an hour to pull the link and correct the behavior.
I donât think Google even cares to be honest, I imagine they got their ad-money from the advertiser (even if theyâre a scam company) and thatâs âgood enoughâ for them
But no one is looking out for us other than ourselves, Google doesnât care if we get scammed
Facebook is full of scams too, I imagine for the same reasons (they donât really care/âvetâ the advertisers and only care about the ad-money they get)
there is a reason I bought an iPhone recently. if their search engine is going downhill like this, it speaks volumes to their quality for the rest of their stuff.
