I wasn’t using it to insult anyone, I literally can’t see anything in the UI and expressed my frustration using a perfectly acceptable word.
If that really happened then these are one of the times where I feel like y’all way too sensitive. There is a profanity filter for a reason.

I suspect, you must be fairly new to playing WoW. You need to be very careful what you say in chat. Many years ago, blizziod was more tolerant in dealing with criticisms and some

I have had my share of issues in the past with 3-day suspensions, so I just make it a point to keep everything clean in chat.

The things that you feel the need to replace with ****, like you did in this forum post, probably don’t need to be said. There are plenty of ways to say what you want to say without cursing in public channels. It was an adjustment for me too but I get people not wanting to see curses every other line.

A decent # of GD’ers been catching these bogus “warnings” recently, I remember that one “Kissmytotems” draenei poster got hit with one not too long ago
But you can tell no one “actually” cares about swear words because trade chat is full of random swearing 24/7 
…which leads me to believe it has more to do with some random trolls recognizing names off the forums and targetting those specific players whenever they see them appear in trade chat
If it was a warning, that’s all it was. No action on your account was taken, you were just told “hey, other players don’t like you talking like that, maybe chill out a bit”.

Find an addon. Elvui might help, though haven’t tried it myself. Google otherwise, or perhaps explore Curse a bit to see if there’s a customized addon that suits what you’re looking for.

Are you surprised or something? Foul language isn’t allowed, it never has been, if you never got a warning for it before it was only because no one reported you.
Per the EULA that you agreed to when you first created your account no, that word is not acceptable, regardless of the context.
The profanity filter and the option to turn it off do not give you permission to actually use profanity, and they never have.
