Warmode in custom groups?

I finally got a group to kill custos in ZM but 3 ppl in the group just killed the rare who are not in warmode and then left.
If I cant see non-warmode players why do I see their custom groups and waste my time? who designed that?

Easy solution. List your own group and say you are in WM. Don’t invite if they refuse.

sounds like a dumb solution, with all due respect

Or you can turn off warmode… another simple solution.

Thats a good suggestion - I think we figured out why warmode is so unpopular. Its poorly designed!

The same can be said for people not in WM who see WM groups.

At one point, the game filtered out war mode and non-war mode groups in BFA. I’m not sure why it stopped.

Because it is more important if someone is looking for a group to do content to be able to find a group to do that content, switching war mode off is relatively easy to do, on is more problematic but still doable.

The hassle of switching from one warmode to another is a small price to pay compared to not seeing groups to do what one wishes to do just because they are in a different mode.

Now a better compromise, would be a checkbox to hide groups in a different mode, so you could by default just look for groups in the same mode, but can turn it off if there are none showing.

When you make a group in Premade in the Custom section, you can make it PvE or PvP. If you start typing Custom, it offers you that option. Im not sure why anyone would make a group for something like that without choosing one or the other. If you choose the PvP option it clearly defines it as PvP.

No, most people just don’t care about wpvp. You can see this in other games, not just WoW.

No, it’s working as intended. If you wanna do stuff with players that don’t have WM on, you turn yours off.

Why is listing a WM group if you don’t see a WM group available a dumb solution? That is literally your only recourse, and it is a great option. Also, why are you in WM if you can’t kill Custos? Dude is weak as heck, where you finding other players to fight that are weaker than Custos? D:

99% of the time, the group will be done by the time you go back to Stormwind/Orgrimmar, turn on War Mode, then travel all the way back.

I’m not against a toggle, but the way it is now is just horrible. I waited 3 hours for Rhuv the other day and I finally had one pop up but it was in War Mode.

Then that is an issue with how hard it is to turn on war mode, if the group finder worked as proposed/it used to (do not see opposite warmode groups), then you wouldn’t ever have seen that group to try to turn it on in the first place.

The proposed toggle compromise would hide those groups, but still give people the option to see those other groups so they can still try to change mode to join them, which is not even an option if they cannot see them in the first place.

Offtopic (since the topic was about seeing opposite war mode groups in the group finder, not how hard it may or may not be to change war mode for oneself), I personally would prefer if war mode could be turned on as it can be turned off to help with such issues. That said, those that use warmode for warmode and not just toggling it so they can do group finder content with those that have it on, would likely disagree.

hey vaf my character is weak because I bought the xpac last week. Why am I in Warmode? because Im not a coward lol.

Most groups either say WM or not in them, join the appropriate one.

They killed the rare on their shard not yours, you wouldn’t have been able to see the rare they killed.
