Warmode from Alliance perspective

It already is, duh, void elves.

No, I want my blue eyes and pasty complexion. It will be ours(with super OP racials too.)

I would be one good looking high elf though. To be quite honest. My hair would be the envy of the elf community. And I would always have an extra scrunchie to share.

Yeah, Sin’dorei and Ren’dorei are playable.

Quel’dorei are not playable yet (and is what Alliance players have been asking for since Vanilla).

Not like it takes a lot of resources to add them at this point.

Yes definetly more than in 8.0. but it seems less to me perhaps because last week alliance were everywhere … including seal and docks . So probably a relative thing .

Pretty sure we will get them once Ion “the Horde is waiting for you” Hazzikostas is replaced by a new game director.

If I’m not mistaken, Ion said that you will receive High Elf skin options for Void Elves, which is a reasonable compromise. After receiving that, I highly doubt you’ll receive the actual race.

I think not. Any competent game director will realize that giving a faction two knock-offs of a Horde race is simply just bad for the game. You’ll receive the helf skin options and be happy with it, take it or leave it deal.

What makes you think Blizzard hires competent game directors?

Did you actually study the racials or did you just regurgitate what another whiner posted after dying PvP and being too lazy to retaliate?

I would much rather have the human trinket so I could run relentless in PvP and have a baseline stun breaker in PvE.

Draenei 20% heal just works in every situation.

Lightforged nuke, lol.

Dwarf/Dark Iron Dwarf I mean come on. All debuffs removed with an extra defensive/offensive bonus. This is vital for PvE AND PvP

Gnome has a 1minute root/slow breaker. Vital in PvP and still very useful in PvE.

Night Elves with a combat stealth lol. PvE and PvP effectiveness.

Void Elves get a teleport for goodness sake. AND no spell pushback.

On the subject of Warmode: I’m going to say it AGAIN. You are complaining about PVP making it difficult for you to PVE. You’re expecting a free bonus without conflict and get mad when you encounter other players because you just want a free ride but really aren’t a PvP player. Warmode SUCKS, PERIOD. On the OTHER hand, you are taking an obvious risk of being attacked by other players when you opt into it.

I’ve been saying since the beginning that Warmode is about the dumbest thing Blizzard has ever done aside from this whole expansion pack because they are enticing PvE players to opt into PvP for PVE BONUSES that seem ridiculous not to take. As a result, we get people like YOU crying in the forums because you want your exp bonus without having to engage in the system that grants you the exp bonus.

This is not a Blizzard problem. This is not a player problem. This is a player CHOICE, and you’re just being a baby about it. If red player names traumatize you that badly, then TURN IT OFF. When I got mobbed by a horde raid at a flight point whilst trying to just quest, I joined a raid group and farmed them BACK. NEVER had a problem at that flight point as Alliance again. Assuming this isn’t a troll post, which I sincerely believe it to be, this issue that you’re having is all on YOU.

****For the Lazy of Auditors: PvP happened in PvP. You’re clearly a PvE player and expected to get a PvP bonus without engaging in the system that gave it to you. That is your problem, not the players’ or Blizzard’s.

When I got raided at a Flight Point as Alliance, I joined a group and farmed them back for an hour. If you want a PvP bonus, then sometimes you have to fight for it.

Alliance racial spells are far better for PvP than Horde’s are, and most Horde racial spells have mediocre uses all around. Except Trolls. Horde racial PASSIVES are more suited for PvP combat and Alliance racial PASSIVES are more of a PvE convenience. A game is about fun, not equality. GET OVER IT.****

Sorry, I should reword that. Any game director with some sense of competency.

Either way, on a game that’s built on factions and a division of the player base, it’d be a stupid decision to give Alliance two Blood Elf models.

The Horde got two variations of the Night Elf model.

Zandalari and Nightborne use the Night Elf skeleton with some variations in the skin (different head for the Zandalari but with very similar physique, and for the Nightborne a very similar head but less muscular physique).

Would you still be opposed if the Quel’dorei model reflected the more wilderness/ranger-minded Quel’dorei vs the more city-dweller Sin’dorei by giving them a more muscular appearance and tatoos and different hair styles, or are you just ideologically opposed out of spite even though there have been Quel’dorei all over the place in Alliance questing, cities, warfronts and lore?

False. Our 15% buff vs their 10% buff proves there are still more Horde in WM.

I believe they said we “might”. Personally I agree it’s a reasonable compromise - if it happens. That said, they would make more money with a full Queldorei race.

We received Nightborne and the Alliance received Void Elf. It was a fair trade and was really on the border of of faction lines and was blurring faction identity to an extent.

Zandalari, while it’s true it uses a modified Night Elf skeleton, it looks nothing like an actual Night Elf. They also use their own unique animations. Void Elf uses a Blood Elf model and the same animations, and Kul’Tiran uses a modified Orc model with different animations. Take a look at this, delete spaces:

So far, we’ve had an even trade of using each other’s models. You have two of ours, we have two of yours. Personally, I’d like it if we stopped with the whole model trades and have new skeletons for newer upcoming races.

As for your question, yes, I’d be opposed to it either way. It’s not out of spite either, it just doesn’t make any sense. Anything that the High Elves can have, the Blood Elves already have, and is just taking away from the race.

For instance, “the more wilderness/ranger-minded Quel’dorei vs the more city dweller Sin’dorei.” You forget that the majority of the High Elves are Kirin Tor, most of them are mages. They’re just as much city dweller as Blood Elves. Blood Elves have the majority population, we also have Farstriders as well as alot of Rangers, more so than the High Elves. We still have wilderness/ranger-minded Blood Elves.

I know you don’t want to take population into consideration, but the High Elves still make up for 1% of the remaining 10% High/Blood Elf population. That being said, they dilute their race by breeding and hooking up with humans. They’ve adopted human culture.

At this point, the only hope of them becoming, “playable” is by merging their lore with Void Elf lore. Giving Void Elves High Elf skin options by saying, “The remaining High Elves took study under Alleria, undergoing the same training but not staining themselves like the Void Elves did.” Of course, you’d still turn into a blueberry in combat, as well as keeping that hair style, but hey, you got yourselves a High Elf.

I seen something a while back about a really cool design for High Elf Void Elves.

I found the link, and personally think this would be the best compromise. It still shouts, “this is a void elf!” but you have the skin color as requested.

Skin color over only part of the body doesn’t really count. The purple should only appear with the void proc.

Subjectfour, I am a Horde at heart and still high five you on your comment.

Shadows you need to get info before you start rambling on. Ion even stated that the factions in WM was “pretty even” and the ONLY reason for the extra stuff for alliance was because of the whining from alliance because of what they seen they got ride of most of it. Blizzard from a horde side has always baby the alliance and the extra stuff proved it. The 15% for alliance and 10% horde doesn’t proved anything, don’t forget alliance still get a 358 ilvl instead of 400 but still higher than what horde get. Blizzard has always seemed to buff toons, quest and etc. high and take some back when they see that they screwed up, thats what they did with this.

People the real problem is the sharding !!! I been in all the insertions horde side and a friend of mine has on the alliance side. The alliance have taken advantage of the 30% bonus and 400 gear, which anyone would. It has made it impossible for horde to fly in because flight paths and quest givers camped with 15+ alliance( easier to get kills for that 400ilvl piece). Now they moved back the bonus to 15% and gear to 385 ilvl. You see some alliance take wm off and now its a little more fair for the horde, alliance still win in this case.

I am horde and in all my insertions I have not seen horde YET camp a flight path or a quest giver. Is there a bunch SOMETIMES at these places, yes till the quest is over and usually all leave after wards. The alliance DON"T leave they camp. This is coming from a alliance player with high gear and plays a lot but I also seen it myself as a horde.

Today I witness a fall off of alliance during insertions but still SOME alliance groups camping flight paths for 385ilvl gear. I got killed 3-4 times trying to do some from a group of 5 alliance and one 7 alliance group, I can live with that. It makes my quest finishing hard but NOT undo-able.

I love wpvp and I don’t mind dieing, rezzing and do it all again …its the nature of the game NO MATTER what side your on. If blizzard can fix the sharding part of the game we shouldn’t have as much of a imbalance of wm people on certain servers. We all can’t get what we want but at least lets make it as fair as possible for as many people as possible blizzard.

There is no 385 item quest this week for alliance. The quest giver/quest was available tuesday for 30 to 45 minutes before Blizzard disabled it. Some alliance did manage to get the quest, but it was not shareable after removed.

So the idea of tons of alliance doing wm right now for a 385 item are wrong.

If you didn’t complete the ilvl 400 quest, that same quest now offers ilvl 385 gear now. I have it on my alt alliance right now as I type this.

The ratio of Alliance vs Horde in Warmode at launch is irrelevant to the ratio today. Blizzard decreased the Alliance buff from 30 to 15%. While it shows that more Alliance DID turn WM on, there are still more Horde then Alliance with it on currently. Borked sharding does not change this fact.
