Warlords as a Chromie Time Experience

Not that bad. Warlords had many things that were overlooked because of the endgame, garrisons, some features, and other things that didn’t go well with the playerbase. Going back to play it as a Chromie Time experience, I locked my level to play all the way through and it is quite an enjoyable playthrough. Has anyone else tried going back to WoD with a low level or is it just me?

many people. i think it is the #1 chromie time for leveling popularity wise. probably cause it was the fastest to level compared to all other zones. after playing it so often it does get tiring though.
it is good imo but yea i played through it to level so much it bores tf out of me. now i try to choose bfa if possible but i feel bfa stuff just takes longer then WoD. time wise i think it is 1 hour longer or maybe the same i don’t remember but there is a post on the times and all that for leveling on wowhead for speed leveling.

The last few times I tried to level an alt through WOD I hearthed during the intro questline and did something else. Which is a shame because I like leveling through the zones. Wish there was an option to skip the intro like more recent expansions (“I’ve heard this story before, teleport me to my Garrison”).

Yeah it’s a little surprising they haven’t done that

wotlk chromie seems popular now and dungeons pop pretty fast.

of course you may get Oculus…

WoD was the speed-leveler’s choice before Shadowlands happened.

And most people agree that while the expansion as a whole was garbage due to its confusing over-arching story and subsequent abandonment while half-finished, the leveling zone experience is pretty universally applauded.

Warlords questing and storylines were actually good. People forget that in lieu of the end game debacles.

I still love WoD and the Garrisons. Though, I much prefer the Alliance Garrisons over Horde’s.

Lunarfall > Frostwall

I always level through that expansion. That is the best questing experience of any expansions in my opinion.

Everyone does, 'cause it’s ez gains :muscle:

But going through it, not having played it when current though. Shame they didn’t do more with the Garrisons. A neat idea, plenty of gold making ways… etc… but c’est la vie.

i don’t mine the intro it’s pretty much everything after that which i get tired of. once you get flying it’s not so bad though

That is true. I’ve ran through that WoD intro so many times

I loved WoD despite the problems it had. Best expansion only beat by Legion and Pandaria.

One leveling path I’m planning to take for an alt is the new starting zone->pandaria->Warlords->legion->BFA->Dragonflight(Shadowlands doesn’t exist, it was just a nightmare made by N’zoth)

Yes, Lunarfall had better aesthetics over Frostwall. A little Fortress town in a fantasy forest? Yes please.

Oh, you poor souls…

You can just take the portal to Warspear and skip the intro entirely.

And even before that, there was a skip in Timeless Isles that let you go straight to the garrison step.

You can skip it in a cave in Timeless Isle, you teleport to Gorgrond and you can start the chain that unlocks garrison or just go to another zone. Without flying is very slow to go to Shadowmoon/Frostfire tho

I’d do wod more often if the intro wasn’t mandatory and if i could queue mop/classic/tbc dungeons while having wod selected. Absolutely hate and despise wod dungeons. Really dislike the garrison quests that require garrison resources too

I know i can go back to sw and change the expansion for the dungeons but still annoying as heck and usually enough to make me skip wod entirely

What’s confusing?

:+1:

WoD was a banger in terms of leveling and story. People just trash-talk WoD falsely and get away with it because the end-game of WoD was bad.

Thanks for the tip. I’ll have to test it out. I just kept doing the WoD intro over and over.

But, hey, I’m doing the “lore”, right? Sorry, inside joke :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I took my alt to Hellfire Peninsula yesterday and managed to go from 10-37 in Hellfire alone. Its a nice change of pace compared to WoD
