Hi warlocks mates! this is more like useful little tips than a guide for warlocks.
I saw this idea in another post and i found that can be very useful for new warlocks players and even old warlocks players.
I want to start with some tips that i found playing as warlock and demo in this season:
1.- Soulburn and amplify spells doesnt have Global CD so you can make macros to use with your important spell that have benefit with, this reduce the amount of buttons in your bar.
2.- If you have trouble with your demonic gateway when you are being focused by melees (you cant click on) there is a new option in DF that allow you to bind the “near action key” (forgot the real name) that allowed you to use your portal without a click.
3.- If you are having a bad time as demo with the focus and uptime by melee players i recommend you the pvp talent “call fel lord” a big totem that will help you in short range stunning and do some dmg.
4.- If you want to use “implosion”, i recomend the talent “imp gang boss” because when you blow them, you will keep a few imps and can blow them again.
5.- I know this may be “obvious” but demo is a pet oriented spec, if you try to build a spec that you will hit only with your warlock, your are not going to see good numbers, trust in your pet dmg.
6.- If you want to see your character mount up again in your mount, better bind the “follow” command in your bars.
There are some tips that i found playing in dragon islands, hope they can be helpful.

the most important tip: dont play affliction.

I’ve just started a Warlock for the very first time, so thanks for this thread. I’ll be keeping an eye on it. I don’t quite understand number six, however. See my character mount up again in my mount?
Hahaha its refeer that your pet will be in battle forever so you cant use your mount if you are not using the command “follow” of the pet
This is more general, but always be casting something. Always.
I like affliction but then I am a casual player who just enjoys the spec. I do wish they would tweak it just a bit more but I can still take on a number of the Wrathion area elites without much trouble.
Thanks for the tips, Marc. A couple there that I didn’t know.

The name is action key, you can turn on in options menu and bind it in target menu
Soulburn Healthstone before Dark Pact for a bigger damage shield, its never not funny to fear spam someone who’s about to die anyway just so they’re stuck running.
I’ll throw some stuff in my Destro M+ guide when I finally get around to updating it (sorry friends).
Few bits:
Use Dark Pact frequently. 45 second CD is usually the talent to run, and it doesn’t hurt that much. Try to Mortal Coil or health pot beforehand to make sure the shield is as large as possible.
On Quaking weeks, if you’re not in a key that’s super scary, run the Dark Accord talent. This lowers the CD of Unending Resolve by 45 seconds. Use the lower UR cooldown to leverage UR during quakes that come during your big CD windows to prevent quaking from interrupting you.
If you’re not playing Demo, swap to the Imp on the last boss in Temple of the Jade Serpent. The boss debuff (aka the big scary thing that usually kills groups here) can be dispelled. I usually have my healer get the first one (if it isn’t on me) and I get the other one. Makes the fight dramatically easier; like practically trivializes it.
At least buy me dinner first.
Keep curse of doom up and your curses (weakness/tongues when applicable). AMP weakness for melee goes. Use arena targeting, and focus macros. Keep an eye on your healer’s positioning when going for ports. For Demo swap fel obelisk with perception when going against heavy melee teams (and you are the target). Get the addon Omni bar to track the enemy team’s interrupt cooldowns. If you fake cast an interrupt with perception- go hard.
While doing damage is great as demo in arena- the control you provide is almost unparalleled if you play it right.
