  • Affliction
    • Rampant Afflictions now decreases the damage of Unstable Affliction by 45% (was 60%).
    • Unstable Affliction backlash damage increased by 20%.

Lol yea right, how is blizz this out of touch with their own game!?

Sometimes I think Blizzard is just really scared of affliction being strong

A few changes to aff would be all that is needed to totally fix aff in both pvp and PVE.

Vile Taint cooldown 15 seconds
PS no longer a talent choice but default talent increase it’s damage by 20%
works fully with haste (does not shorten duration but adds ticks.
Siphon Life heals 25% of damage that corruption/wither deal
Oblivion cost reduced to 1 soul shard and damage increased by 25% per dot up to 3 scales with mastery.
Banish default talent (too niche to ever chose)
Soul Conduit 10% return (Minimum)
Fel synergy 20% heal to caster pet heal remains the same 1point talent
Unending resolve base 40% reduction strength of will lowers cooldown to 2 minutes
Soul link 1 point talent.
Demonskin and Fel armor 1 point talents
Contagion and malediction 1 point talent
kindred spirit and dark virtuosity 1 point talents.
Infirmity PS raises damage by 10% and Vile taint increase Agony duration by 4 seconds and raises its stack cap to 20.
Death’s Embrace increases all damage by 10% increasing to 25% as target health decreases from 35%-0% (35% = 10% 25%=15% 20%=20% 10%=25%)
Balance damage based on these changes

Those arent bad ideas, ive thought for awhile the only things locks need to be competitive in this insane burst meta/xpac is for shadow fury to be instant across the board. Demon skin soul leach needs to be buffed to recharge 0.5% of your max health every 1sec and absorb needs to be buffed from 10% to 15%. Fel armor needs to be 15% of the damage taken is absorbed and spread out over 5seconds. Siphon life needs to be a real option over abso corruption so buffing the heal to 10% would help in that department. Rampant afflictions needs to be baseline like it use to be with no damage reduction applied to it. Buff deaths embrace to increase dot damage by 20% and MR can stay at 10% when a target is below 40% health.

Also would LOVE to see Hell caller buffs so we actually saw a good mix of that and soul harvester in pvp. One being more burst and the other being more rot
