Short backstory, then some questions if you don’t mind…
I have partially leveled almost all classes and eventually deleted sooo many of those characters. And the only one that I truly regret is a human warlock that had the transmog (early on transmogging) of the Scarlett Monastery. I think back fondly on that little toon, but sadly, she has been gone for a long time now (I don’t even know why I deleted her). Anyway, I am thinking of leveling another one and need some advice.
What race and spec is best?
What transmog set is your favorite?
Best leveling path?
Best Heirlooms and where to get?
Any other advice.
I am not an altaholic, so I hope it keeps my interest all the way to max.
I am loving Destro for mog hunting and Demo for PVE leveling/questing.
I never paid much attention to racials, but I’ve read gnomes are the go-to for casters on alliance, undead for horde.
Though void-elf’s racial is good for your casting to not get delayed?
Been forever since I leveled so I’m not even sure what the skill breakdown is and at what levels, but I always like affliction leveling.
Blueberry, dot, dot, dot x5mobs. Rotate mobs if the dots fall off, watch them die. Can be a bit boring. You never really have to worry about getting killed. it is also nice to have several spammable instants to tag mobs as well when things get crowded.
But as I said it has been forever since I leveled a low level so maybe that has all changed.
Destro’s multi target incinerate is called “Fire and Brimstone” and you don’t want that talent this patch because the AoE is sub-par. Go with Cataclysm instead(unless you plan to spam all the trash with immolate to get a bunch of Flashpoint procs going). Cata doesn’t really pair up with Flashpoint because the Flashpoint only procs with targets above 80% health.
I chose a dwarf warlock as it felt like the most unlikely race/class combo and it was honestly a lot of fun. I later converted him to a dark iron and while I’m not completely happy with this mog, I love the combination of plate and cloth. Also the PvP skin for the scythe makes it look like a giant axe, making the dwarven warlock motif really fit.
