It is quite sad how bad certain classes - WARLOCKS for example get nerfed after patch. They were not even THAT strong or over powered, we got beat by multiple classes.. and here i am SUB par dps.. new DH spec double my DPS heck at times even a BEAR tank out did me… and im 154 ilvl with 95% BiS items.
What happens in this game has gotten so out of hand. Blizz switches classes and how strong they are forcing us to play a diff class just to keep us playing longer. im convinced thats the goal every time they NERF the hell out of classes.
Pls put warlocks back where they belong..
Have you tried pressing the buttons harder? That makes your spells do more damage.

I hate what they did to my main spec demonology in terms of design. Truly just awful in every way you can think of. From Power Siphon and Implosion being a choice node (RIP Mobility), to having implosion being the current meta for single target (lolwhat), to promising to remove grimoire spells to only actually remove grimoire: felguard and replace it with Grimoire: imp / fel hound (what a massive downgrade), to removing the tyrants refresh on all of the minions. Its just not a feel good do good spec. Destructions conflagate damage boost got removed so it got dumbed down. Affliction aoe “seems” better but the whole soul spending mechanic on unstable affliction is stupid.
So all in all warlock = bad / stupid. Rerolling to arcane mage for Midnight.

If a bear tank is doubling you in dps you are doing something wrong with your rotation.
I’m just happy I get to play with an imp and I can ignore the felguard
Arcane Mages is very good - at the moment. This game, as people should realise, is never static.
A few days, weeks, etc from now, Warlock will be back on top and Arcane will be down the bottom.
What? That’s the best change!
Well aren’t they like pruning and shaking up the “meta” I feel changes like this is understandable if multiple classes are being changed for Midnight. I feel most xpacks over the years have had a big change up on most classes no?

Its not even numbers i care about, its spec design. How good and rewarding does it feel to press these buttons in these sequences.

its just malfric rapture under a new name. The rotation doesn’t change at all. But at least unstable affliction didnt cost soul shards.
Arcane could be at the bottom and id still play it given its rotation in midnight. Such a well made class with the perfect amount of randomness and guaranteed procs. So many classes got all variation in their toolkits ripped out and they just feel hollow. Like shadow priest.

Malefic rapture just made soul harvester a clunky turd. Your demonic soul friend triggers from using shards, and having malefic rapture as your shard spender meant you were doing all your dotting before you started spending. Whereas now with UA as spender you can get spending much faster and much more often. So more visits from your pal.

Preach it sister, when class played statsitics come in and everyone is playing the classes that didn’t get gutted the most / feels hollowed, we can only pray that Blizzard realizes their mistake with all the pruning and changing they did for Midnight and either revert most of the damage or never do it again.

I was using the other hero talent build because it was meta and i do love how both curses combine from said tree. However you’re right the shadow fiend popping behind you was really cool and it sucked that it wasn’t meta because of how the spec was designed and that the current changes fix it. I just dont like refreshing dots and knowing i’m spending a soul shard to do it instead of spending a soul shard to not over cap and get good damage out of it as i wait for my burn phase to hit.

I don’t much fuss over what is meta or not. But man I just love the concept of that hero spec. That this entity has latched itself to you is like straight out of a horror film. But the idea that rather than simply being possessed by the thing that you instead become partners is so cool. You keep it fed and it lends you its power. It’s awesome. Actually I guess that’s kinda the plot of Venom.
