I think its funny that because you can’t kill affliction locks at 1800 that it’s a problem for the rest of us. There is essentially no affliction lock representation at high rating so this entire post is a nothingburger.

I think most classes are broken in MoP & people just feel persecuted when one of those broken things hits them ignoring the broken things they’re doing to other classes themselves.
MoP’s kinda crazy in general. Lock’s are absurdly strong, but they’re awfully unfun into thunder so what can you do?

Warlocks are great in bgs but they can be shut down soooo easily its not even funny. Just sit on one
This is a player issue tho tbh as well. Destro’s probably the strongest it will ever be in MoP toolkit wise. - BFA bolts are one thing but the absolute monster of a toolkit that is MoP lock shouldn’t be mocked.
It’s a great time to be a lock if you enjoy this playstyle IMO.

but none of the people I know are compatible with lock in 2s so im leveling other classes rn sadge

Rogue lock is really strong (sub/destro) if you get some practice in. My buddy got 2200 day 1 on horde playing wls tho so maybe 3s is better.
I don’t know if its the same in mop but in earlier expansions like tbc/wotlk, warlocks were fairly big problems for rogue/mage teams, in tbc especially lock/healer teams have a good win rate vs rogue/mage compared to virtually every other comp
Lock has historically been one of those dps that rogue/mage struggle to cc and struggle to kill also

also heard lock/dk is viable to an extent
and yeah 3s is usually better for lock, too easy to get shut down in 2s but c’est la vie
sl/sl isn’t fun to fight for anyone tbf.
In wrath warlocks are actually pretty fun for R/M imo. 2s at least. So long as you’re killing pet and kicking feldom and stuff. otherwise you lose slowly / quickly.
In MoP i think RM in 2s should just kill healers that aren’t paladins & just pray they don’t die in a stun while resetting vs paladins good luck OP. Even MW can die it’s chill.
They had been this way the whole time, peoblem is 99.8% of the locks dont know how to play. Also told ya all what to expect with 5.4 about a year ago now, here comes the “Told ya so”.
People still PvP in MoP?
As a warlock, a lot of those abilities are exclusive to each other or are spec specific.

I don’t pvp but I imagine the main advantage locks have in arenas are affliction locks using line of site to keep dots up while avoiding incoming damage.
If you’re playing a class/spec that cannot deal with LoS easily you got countered.
