Warlocks: Necromantic Vengeance!

Events that unfolded, shook the foundations of the warlock heroes community forever. These are how they followed …

The Intel: The Scarlet Community

The Scarlet Crusade have relatively small continent island, where their communities live. Some even managed to make it back from the scouring destruction of Arthas & his Death Knights from the Scarlet Enclave in Eastern Plaguelands, formerly known as Eastern Lordaeron … Others had also managed to make it back from Tirisfal Glades & the wrath of the Forsaken, Worgen and other … threats.

  • This community is not innately evil, or all of cruel intent – After all, Alexandros Mograine helped found this kingdom & its people.

Many of this kingdom’s people simply follow the ordain of their faith, however those in charge of that faith have guided it into dark times with panic, fear and dire superstitions. Whether such was done out of their own genuine fear & superstition, or their individual resentment & prejudice – for some, it was merely a tool to use to advance their own power.

Nevertheless, the leadership of the Scarlet Church could dispatch skirmishes, armies and rally the people with fear believed to be truth, or outright known lies to execute their will for their prejudice to have these masses commit atrocities at their whim.

The Purge:

One such day arrived. It was not an army marching on the front lines with banners. Nor a skirmish to charge into guerilla attacks. No, this was surgical; veiled with subtlety and done with harsh & gruesome efficiency.

  • From a handful of various Scarlet Churches around Azeroth or directly from their head-church, a large enough fraction of the High Priests & Bishops gathered; coming to agree to a conclusion upon circumstances: The warlocks of Azeroth, who were praised as heroes for their feats over the years had became a dire threat – They believed to Azeroth itself …

Some believed it was the warlocks scheme to gain trust, to allow their darkness to spread & fester – others believed it was to lay a blow greater than the threats they defeated. Where as others simply believed they should be eradicated for the ilk they are. And so they planned a scheme – and despite their setbacks over the years … It was achieved to the better end of its result.

Scarlet Assassins & Crusaders from around Azeroth infiltrated ranks around the globe, and made it close to the warlocks. Each with rare enchanted blades, that twist demonic power & fel energies into chaotic overflow – then combined with the light of the blades enchantment, implodes the energies within the individual in a fiery & deadly light of a ferocious blaze.

  • Warlocks from around Azeroth were either slaughtered through a large slash of a blade, or a simple stab of a blade and had the enchantment to the rest of the work as they roared in pain facing up to the sky as their eyes glowed golden & their veins radiated with various colours before collapsing on the ground with smoke drifting from their eye-sockets, mouths and hot blood seeping from their nose & ears.

Agents of the Crimson Purge kidnapped a girl who they believed was a high warlock, to which their light seemed to hold no effect of harming – They deemed it witchcraft of the warlock arts. She claimed she was not and merely just an alchemist, but they cried out she was a liar & took her back to their lands regardless. She was to be held before the High Priest who organised the meeting of the bishops and orchestrated the purge: Bishop Beziak Teval.

Her husband and her father both found out through the neighbour who saw the whole ordeal and advanced to rescue her. They sailed across the sea to reach the camp where they disguised and ran into the central square of the city … To find her burning at the stake, already crumbling charcoal … Along with a handful of other innocents.

  • The father who was in fact a warlock collapsed into grief and the husband who was an initiate in priesthood felt the shadows overwhelm him and together they vowed vengeance. Not only for Elizabeth, the daughter & wife who was taken – but for enormous masses of heroes & innocents who had their lives ripped away from them.

The Warlocks Evolution:

Warlock communities of the Horde, Alliance and other neutral factions in between gathered as one. They plotted a way to find an advance against the Scarlet weapon that twists their magics against them … and found a solution in the past of an enemy they all know by name: Gul’Dan.

  • The Horde told stories of how Gul’dan used warlock magics to craft undead or employ foreign souls into the bodies, either of the spirits of his own ranks or demonic souls from the Twisting Nether & realms between.
  • The Alliance told stories of how they witnessed coming face to face with such ‘Death Knights’ which were hardly anything alike to the generation of Death Knights they have today — And how for some, the very forms of the body-owner would be twisted into something much darker.
  • The forced inbetween confirmed both, and gave the example of Teron Gorefiend who became such an undead individual; who’s body was twisted into something that looked between undead, demonic and something truly dark.

And thus, the united forces of warlocks sought two new studies:

  • Necromancy - The art of raising the dead & using death as both a resource, tool and instrument to their will.
  • Dark Forgemastery - The ability to transform dead bodies into something more dire, later learning the foreign souls from the demonic regions of the Twisting Nether or dark realms beyond merely use the dead bodies provided by the warlocks only as vessels to contain their souls, yet advance the shape to the foreign soul’s own form.

They had handfuls of experiments. Many of which were successful, however ran amock into the world as they were not bound by contract & had free reign on entering the world. They knew that they may have unleashed new horrors upon Azeroth, yet considered it a small price to pay in the name of attaining knowledge and their retribution. Other greater-beings brought into the world didn’t have a magical contract, yet agreed to help the warlocks – Believing the warlocks goals to be delicious & delightful.

Ultimately, their work could begin. They marched forward, upon the Scarlet Continent.

Feast of Vengeance:

They landed on large winged gargoyles and batlike creatures – before pulling their dark deathly forces from the nether or the in-between realm that lay between theirs & the Shadowlands — Advancing forward.

The warlocks themselves ignored villages, only interested in crippling the heirachy of those that dispatched the order & any who stand between them – Yet some of the forces that fought beside the warlocks of their own volition had other ideas & feasted to their hearts content …

The warlocks fought, cast and purged their own way through the ranks – Yet the scarlet heirachy of priests & bishops that organised many of their kinds demise & the burning of the innocent physician alchemist, merely arrogantly believed it to be nothing more than a mild tantrum of the remaining forces from who they slew.

The high church doors opened.

Bishop Beziak Teval: “Are those warlocks dead yet? Fools should never had stepped upon our lands. The darkness makes these fools and their creatures rally with sickening inspiration. Hurry and end them before the sun is down.”

Dark Echoing Voice from the shadows: “The Sun … Is ALREADY down.”

{Twisted winged creatures creep into the dismal light of the sunset through the chapels windows, and into the centre of the church, a large smirking wolf-like abomination named Azgralosh with many glowing eyes, clacks its claws forward}

Bishop Beziak Teval: "Y-Y-YOU CANNOT BE HERE! This is - This is the house of the light!"

Azgralosh: “The light is not here …”

Bishop Beziak Teval: “IMPOSSIBLE! The light envelops ALL its churches!”

Azgralosh: “This … Is an empty box. The light does not care for us, and it does NOT care about you.”

Bishop Beziak Teval: “What!? No! The light is my might – What carries me to do my work! My work – For the light!”

Azgralosh: “Your work makes the light puke void … But we love you. We wouldn’t be here, without you! This … This carnage on your lands – It’s all your doing is it not? It all originates & comes from you … Tsk tsk tsk, and for what? Burning the innocents who practiced their medicine over your own?”

Bishop Beziak Teval: “N-No! She, and the others – They were dark practitioners! She was a witch!”

Azgralosh:Lies?! — In your house of the light? … No wonder it has abandoned you. But as I said - we love you … Your actions are fortunate for us. And you … You – Are… Splendidly, delicious!

{A roar emits from the church, followed by screaming – Then, silence.}

Thus -

The warlocks ennacted their vengeance & painted their message to their enemies, then left the continent … Their new goal to manage the beings they brought into the world from wreaking havoc … And to continue using their newfound gifts for their own ambitions, whether for the good of Azeroth … Or their own goals.
