We really just gonna let Blizzard get away with robbing us of our pets? Warlocks losing their observer for false nonsensical reasoning (Blizzard basically using PVPers as a scapegoat, by calling them too dumb to know that a glyph in the game for 10 years is the same as a felhound) and mages losing their one and only pet. We really just gonna let them take these away? More support for our beloved pets means there’s a chance we can revert this terrible decision before it goes live. Once they’re gone, you can kiss them bye bye because they WONT be coming back.
You’re sorta late to the party.
Not really, just reminding people.
Mages lost their pet in Legion when Lonely Winter became a thing. It’s actually going to increase how frequently we see Water Elementals. So I’m fine with it.
But deleting the Observer because suddenly pet silhouettes matter is so ridiculous. I could write a dissertation on how pet silhouettes remain inconsistent and irrelevant.
It reminds me of Airbnb where the host says it’s $100 a night, upfront you’re like damn that’s good, but then there’s a $250 cleaning fee and some other BS. Dangling “customization” in our faces to excite us for 10.1.5 but really they’re robbing us of the only real customization this deserted class had to begin with.
You really don’t know just how mad we are,we steam before the blow.
As a hunter main for several years, this made me audibly go “WTF?”
Do you know how many different pets cause “MORTAL WOUNDS”, you know, the reduced healing effect?
HYENAS
RAPTORS
RODENTS
CARRION BIRDS
DEVILSAURS
RAVAGERS
SCORPIDS
WASPS
DIREHORNS
HYDRAS
LIZARDS
RIVERBEASTS
And that’s just ONE ability!
And KEEP IN MIND these pet families HAVE DIFFERENT APPEARANCES WITHIN THEIR OWN FAMILIES! Like, a rodent is a BEAVER, A MAW RAT, AN OTTER, A PORCUPINE, AND (now) A ROCK MOUSE!
Carrion Birds, you’ve got RAVENS, BUZZARDS/CONDORS, AND FRIGGIN’ PEACOCKS!
But sorry, Warlocks, the OBSERVER has to go because PEOPLE CAN’T UNDERSTAND WHAT YOUR PET MIGHT DO so we’re having you stick with Felhunter. G’bye!
They don’t know their own butts from a hole in the ground, I swear to Uther.
The first L warlocks have taken
They’ll be fine
I spent my winters alone as frost. From what I understand the elemental is becoming part of Icy Veins? If that’s the case, I’ll end up using it more than ever have if I ever go frost again.
Aside from continuing to give my feedback, what else am I supposed to do? I even updated my thread on the Observer with the barbershop customization article.
Dude. I’m not gonna cry over some NPC that shoots water and roots my enemies.
I get that Warlocks are taking a small hit with the Observers, but at the end of the day, who cares. An NPC shouldn’t forfeit your ability to play your class.
And if I see “IM GOING TO UNSUB” messages pertaining such an issue, I’m going to laugh my *** off and show them to door. It’s just babyrage.
I don’t mind my little Arcane Familiar. It’s name is Boomy.
No, the first L was when Ion said ‘We’d rather you not play that spec’
I never cared for either of them so meh
I care.
I wouldn’t care as much as I do if their reasoning made sense, but it doesn’t. That’s the most concerning part.
I have pets aside from voidwalker and an imp?
Any mage that actually plays frost for endgame haven’t seen elemental in 10 years.
Only RPers and those who play frost as casual alt care and create topics.
The water elemental’s always been a contentious topic for frost mages. It’s somewhat love-or-hate, and I think it’s never been seen as a core part of the class or spec in the same way warlock pets are with theirs.
Seeing the observer go is disappointing, though.
I do. I spent a decade of storyline with that Observer.
My pet that I’ve had in RP and in game major story does make me want to delete my Warlock. I don’t expect anyone else to.
Bro, you been living under a rock or get hit really hard with one? Or did you just say this in grand satire? If the latter is the case, then apologies for the misunderstanding.
But over the years, warlocks have taken HEAPS of L’s.
Lmao
Yeah but only hyenas, rodent and raptors also have freedom as a second ability. So the rest of the families are largely irrelevant outside of very niche situations lol
I love me some reban. Turn evil that idiot
So what you’re saying is that it’s actually even more confusing to a new player what these pets do, because even among the ones that share relevant abilities they still don’t all do the same thing. Somehow that’s ok, but an observer skin replacing the felhunter is too much? I just don’t buy Blizzard’s reasoning.
