Warlocks have 1 defensive on a 3 min cd

And nether ward that we have to sac an honor talent for that is dispelled or stolen after reflecting one spell. Demon skin is a joke, demon armor is a joke.

Monks have wall, diffuse magic (screws us), karma,

Warriors get die by the sword, a super anti physical wall that is still very good vs magic dmg. Ignore pain, spell reflect, rally.

Mages get big shields that lowers cc and dot duration, ice block, cauterize, small wall from images.

Rogues have evasion, cloak, vanish, phial

Dks have ams, amz, icebound fortitude.

Both boomkin and feral are unkillable in bear from auto frenzied regen. Barkskin as small wall.

Priests have near perma 15% or 30% dr, greater fade, dispersion or ps or dome. Some of the best defensives in the game.

Shamans defensively sucks if their totems aren’t up. Makes up with big heals.

Paladins got everything.

Hunters can clear all dots and have big heal and turtle. Pet sac too.

Dhs got darkness and blur and they suck rn so w/e.

Warlocks really need more tools defensively in terms of active mitigation.

Personally, i’m of the opinion that the game was better when warlocks (and most classes for that matter) did not have defensive and offensive cooldowns.

So sometime in the pre-mop era. Even during mop we would talent into the ER glyph for passive 10% damage reduction instead of the active ability.

When the game is just everyone has burst cds and everyone has burst defensives, its just a game of rock paper scissors and its scripted and boring.

Cooldowns for cooldowns. Unfortunately blizzard thinks players need that dopamine hit of powerspikes that cooldowns give so its where we are at.

You also have tank pet a fast resummon button for it, portal, teleport, healthstones, soulstone health drain. An aoe stun and oh idk…FEAR one which is also an instant cast fear/heal. And banish…whats this threads point?

If anything its really down to how build up classes need help in PvP where burst is the everything.

Dark pact is a good defensive. I’ve been healed for 25k when combod with max hp trinket and void sac. You can survive initial stun. There’s a macro I made where it pops all these things in one button. If there’s a rogue there’s a mod where you use the PvP escape trinket… However it is crazy that I have to use 4, 2 min cds, including both trinket slots and a 1 min cd to survive. I’ve even added demon armor to the mix. Throw in night fae blink… Sometimes even two 45 second cds… also I’m not very good and find that all I’m doing is running around hoping my partner is doing something productive as I’m avoiding the melee crash and throwing out a few insta cast dots.

If there was one thing I could do to improve myself it would be some way to detect rogues or other invisible class… does eye of Kilrog work? Maybe combo this with the teleport finesse thing and you can somehow blink to the rogue and howl it to open?

Personally make drain life a cooldown, when pressed it summons a demon that channels drain life and siphons us the life, make it 2 min CD… atleast the button will be pressed.

That’s our defensive we should have… even in PvP it works, say they cc or kick the demon channeling, that’s one less ability used on you, so still a net profit.

We’re supposed to be tanky… shadowlands we are walking wet tissue paper.

Someone on the forum was saying spammin VW aoe detect and reveals rogues.

Hi. dat was me.

Its not like the greatest thing ever, but it works sometimes.

I’m trying it in bgs haven’t seen it yet. I vaguely remember this tactic from yrs ago.

yeah i would suggest only trying this in arena when you know a rogues headed your way.

I will try that…but in Bgs rogues are always coming for me. Not sure what the aoe radius is…or if using defensive instead of assist is needed.

Fel Hunter had paranoia ability to detect stealth for 30 sec.

i have it macroed into my filler spell so that anytime i push it my voidwalker will AoE. You can do that or move it over to like Ctrl-3 to spam it instead. The radius I am not so sure about, I would need to do some on point testing but its gotta be at least 15 yards.

and yeah, they have tried a few times now to give us stealth detection, both on the voidwalker and the felpup. But nah lets get rid of that, can’t have us being able to fight back against a rogue.
