So basically we priests have a rune called despair - which warlocks pretty much get for free OR you can ask a mage to help you out in multiple zones with their scrolls. So, the big brains warlocks are charging 50g to priests to summon manaburn (lvl47 elite) - after 2-3 days of trying to do this rune, i gave up and ended paying this warlock to help me out, here’s the fun part, the raid was 37/40. Lock wanted a full raid before popin manaburn.
ofc i bailed and never looked back, im not a supporter of this type of degeneracy.
Blizzard: Can you do something about this rune? throw a bone to pallys aswell since they are on the same boat as we do.

Honestly I feel bad for priests in SoD lol, a lot of their runes rely on other players to even unlock. Sad times.
one of my IRL frens is playing warlock, and last night he had the audacity to say manaburn rune was incredibly hard to do LMAO. Warlocks jus have no idea, playing on journalist mode. At least they can make endless gold by summoning/runes while their mount is free :^)
If that warlock got a full raid, he made just under 2k gold lmao.

I think it’s cute that you think that Warlocks can do this for “free”.
Wanna hang out with me as I try to get four Worldcore Fragments?

Any time i see a lock or mage doing a mass sell. I will personally go steal the tag. and then only invite priests/pallys if i get it.

At least Priests got POM, Penance, and Homunculi in P1, such strong runes

Let’s see. Run around one of 12 zones, looking for a portal that goes away when anyone uses it and has a horribly long respawn time. Found one? Great! Now summon the explorer imp and send him through. Wait 20 mins and he will come back with a bag for you to open. Did you get the fragment from the bag? No? Of course not! Its only a 14% chance to drop from the bag! Now you get to go spend another 3-4 hours looking for another portal. Now imagine having to get FOUR fragments to get the rune.
Stop complaining about people selling it and complain about how horribly designed the acquisition of it in general is.

There seems to be no benefit of sending the Explorer Imp through portals in hard to reach areas. I sent him through a portal I found in the middle of The Tainted Scar in Blasted Lands and all I got was 3 junk items. I sent him through a second time and all I got was some leather.
At this point I’d be happy to pay 50g for a guarantee of getting this rune
glad I called it quits, this phase sounds exhausting

This!
I was in a group last night the mage advertised a charge of 40g, but it was entirely filled (he excpected 8-10 players) and said he was only charging 15g total since we filled and so quickly.
The fragments need to be 50% drop at least and portals need to stay up longer after the 1st person uses it (maybe give the Mage item a 5 min CD and change the imp to come back after 5 mins).

Crazy how different the game culture is today
“You expect me to help you for free?”…yeah. That’s exactly how it used to be. Help the dude out and summon the thing so he can get the thing. Then, when you need that other thing someone will help you
Did we all grow up into bitter adults?
You make it sound like it’s so easy for warlocks to get this, many go about 6-10 hours of doing this and get ONE. Lol. It’s so RNG that I never really see warlocks selling it. Only mage has a more reliable and not time-gated way of getting these.
If you’re gonna buy it from someone at least try to buy it from a lock knowing that they actually put in time into the game to get it. Mages are just buying scrolls on the AH.
Better than not being able to farm it at all
Then priests can farm it too then because they can buy scrolls and close rifts which is essentially what warlock can do but we have to waste our time sitting around waiting 20mins for an imp to return with garbage.
It’s definitely the most nonsensical rune acquisition I’ve seen. The priest version. The Warlock and mage version is still kind of over the top too. But I at least understand what they were going for. Intergroup dependency. Like, I get one of the four items needed and three other people get the other three and then take along another.
This mechanic isn’t going to work after the honeymoon period is over and we start moving into phase four. Nobody will be able to get these runes. They are hard enough to do now.
Well, not hard. Just tediously boring and long to do.

throw feral a bone too. 3 runes locked behind vendors
Pretty sure he only targeted blizzard with his desire for changes. AKA complaining about the horrible design… lol
Do you know how mages get these…? lol, it’s much harder than warlock. I don’t see how warlocks can call it “hard” simply because it takes some time? You literally jus send ur imp inside a portal that has a set spawn time. You can even share the portals with other warlocks lol. Warlocks are so babied when it comes to their runes or something it feels like lol.

you literally buy scrolls on the AH and decode them, wtf? If it’s so hard for mages then why is 99% of sellers mages…oh right, because it’s easy.
Warlock is timed gated a minimum of 20mins per, I’m at ~5-6 hours now of portals and haven’t received 1, on top of having to run around and find said portals in specific zones and deal with other locks/priests closing them.
Weird post to defend this rune design at all
I was able to get two and then found another Warlock with two and we went. I don’t know that you can get two on the same day. I feel like there’s diminishing returns even after your first portal.
