WC3 had this unit called Warlock, and it was used for one character: Archimonde.
And the Warlock unit in WC3 had a very nice spell called “The Finger of Death”.
“Instantly turns a creature or building inside-out, destroying it utterly.”
It was nice.
The WoW versions of Archimonde have a spell with the same name, but unfortunately it doesn’t turn anyone inside-out or instantly destroy anyone utterly
That said, I would like to request that the Finger of Death (in it’s original incarnation) should be added to the Warlock Spellbook. I would even go as far as to call it even for the removal of the greatest spell of all time, the green Warlock Meta.
Oh my God YES! It was so much fun spawning archimonde on map creator and just going HAM on everyone with this abilities.
Maybe have it be a max level talent with it either being a big CD spell that if it kills someone, they have a similar effect to corpse explosion (RIP my favorite DK spell, Blizz took you from me too soon) or have it be an execute ability with the same effect.
Used to love that spell. Red lightning shooting from the caster and blasting into someone or something. I recall other characters that had it too. I believe the Gul’dan model did and maybe one of the dreadlords…
Warlocks dont have any sort of execute ability do they? Doom and Shadowburn are the only things I can think of, but those arent quite the same. Perhaps Finger of Death could be added in as an execute ability. Though with curses coming back, doubt youll see anything else given to them.
