To Keep it short and sweet Warlocks and DK’s should be able to tame pets ( demons and Undead creatures) just like hunters… Not only will it make things more fun but you basically have a variety of pets just like hunters… nothing special… each pet will have similar abilities like the original…like hunters…
P.S anyone that literally come here to debate you might as well make the same argument for hunters…which would be ridiculous …
I’ve always loved this idea, and I’m not sure why anyone is against it.
I like the idea also, though it should only be Unholy Death Knights and Demology Warlocks that have the ability to tame pets due to their total reliance on pets.
Design time and balance? I mean if it’s just cosmetic then who honestly cares
Restrictions on warlocks could be like BM for “exotic” demons for Demo but the taming ability itself should be available for all 3 specs
then you must feel the same way for hunters then? just skins right??
Also if the issue is…who cares? then my next question is… why are you even playing world of warcraft?? its a game and its for fun!! just like skins for weapons and everything else in this game… Don’t be that guy…
I mean effectively yeah? Are there hunter pets that do anything unique anymore?
They have bloodlust pets. I’d be completely happy with the demons to be part of “families” but have the same abilities as the parent demon that we currently have.
Yeah, that’s what I mean. Hard to argue against that.
Edit:
I wasn’t saying ‘who cares’ in a negative way, we can be friends. I like customization.
Some pets have unique abilities but it’s very rare.
The point is …keeping it interesting… making people enjoy the game more dude… not sure if you ever made a hunter but it’s pretty fun when you’re able to tame a beast you been camping for … a lil more of a rewarding feeling…
lol i apologize didn’t mean it that way… besides i can never be angry with a Pandaren…you’re too adorable <3 …even when one pwns me
Nah, I have a bad habit of typing with an abrasive tone, I get why you’d read it that way! All the love though!
At the very least, I’d really love if Warlocks through some form of solo content, could learn new summoning incantations for new pets. Some should be very hard to acquire.
I agree with DK as well.
Fully support this. I wish players went back to discussing things than mattered in our beloved game over politics.
I fully support this idea, I can see dk’s hunting rare undead mobs just like the bm hunter do for that ghost bear.
Or not and hunters can keep their unique abilities, while DKs and locks can keep the flavor of how they acquire their pets.
Warlocks don’t really tame their demons, and death knights don’t really tame undead. They create a contract with them. It would be nice if Blizzard gave warlocks a few new demons to bind/summon. But it shouldn’t be a free for all for all demons. A death knights necromantic powers aren’t as robust as a true necromancer would be.
I’m going to be the odd man out here and say that I am not interested in demon management being turned into some side game. The fact that Warlock is also a pet class but without the excessive pet management of a Hunter (as per the KISS Principle) was one reason why I switched from the latter to the former as my main.
As for just ignoring the feature if it was added, Blizzard would likely twist Warlocks’ arms into using it to justify the development costs and somehow screw up our existing demon set. They better not lay a finger on my faithful Voidwalker who has been at my side for years now. (I even keep him out when I’m fishing.)
This would be really cool. Just make it cosmetic and for fun/lore. Add some cool quests and stuff for different demons. Would be great.
Dont forget hunter pets have specs as well with their own talent trees and unique sets of abilities. Though some are the same as others, it still matters that Hunters can have a variety of pets while DK and Warlock only get their select few when they can obtain pets in the same manner. Id love for this to be implemented
